Steam review charts from today speak for themselves (graph)

More insults. Do you have a salient point worth articulating or is your linguistic repertoire limited to one off zingers?

do you have anything to say in response to the criticism that doesn’t involve blaming unsatisfied customers for the failures of AGS? it’s really not a difficult thing to grasp. bad design concept leads to bad design, bad design leads to dissatisfied customers, dissatisfied customers leads to mountains and mountains of negative reviews there’s nothing really malicious about a dissatisfied customer leaving a negative review if that’s how they feel about the game.

dude all you do is repeat the same lines over and over again and blaming the player base on the this buggy game. you bring nothing to argument but blaming us. and telling us how we shouldn’t give honest reviews to a dishonest game company.

I’ll take that as a no. You don’t have anything worth adding that can be described as constructive to the conversation.

Edit:
Nice of you to edit your post after the fact to include some opinion that included some substance.

As to your question… I refer you to my summary of the current core problem and proposed solution:

I can point to multiple examples in this thread of giving the exact opposite advice. I recommend you review my statements more closely.

simple concept we learn very early as developers, when a player tells you they’re not having a good time with your game they’re right 100% of the time, when they try telling you how to fix it they’re wrong 99% of the time this makes the post you just linked pointless it doesn’t matter if they work for AGS like new worlds Developers, or Riot like i do that’s a concept ALL of us have to grasp or our time in this industry will be rocky and likely brief.

Don’t change the subject. I just destroyed your characterization of me as a white knight that sees no faults in the game systems. You can apologize for insulting me on those grounds any time.

Edit:
I do agree that 99% of player feedback on how to fix things is trash and I have said so multiple times in many threads.

i called you a cultist not a white knight, and the fact that you made a post pushing for people that had anything negative to say about the game to be silenced is just confirmation of it. So tell me who do you think a seasoned developer would rather see purged from their game players like yourself that will defend every poor choice we make with almost religious fervor even going so far as to attempt to blame people unsatisfied with the game for its potential demise, or those leaving critical reviews?

That’s a lie. You can be constructive and negative at the same time. Just being toxic and negative isn’t helpful and shouldn’t be tolerated. I just linked to thread I made providing constructive criticism.

You need to get your head strait and stop fabricating nonsense.

If it’s not an enjoyable experience and they fail to listen to its customers, do you really want that experience to be available, worse you send that message to the wider community and all devs start taking this approach. Sorry but it’s evolve or die time really.

I am at 619 hours… and I wrote my first Steam review… ever. in the first time for playing games since 1986… The Dev team seems competent, but the leadership to steer them broke the rudder off in an execs ass and is listening to the screams of agony as the direction the game should go.

if you say so, i mean i’m not the one living in a fantasy world claiming people leaving negative reviews about a game that deserves those negative reviews are at fault for the games demise(if that happens), nore am i the one that’s created threads demanding anyone saying anything negative about the game be silenced but hey keep living in your digital jonestown.

More lies. You can be negative while also being constructive. I stand by every word of that thread. A tightly moderated game forum that weeds out the trash is better than a free for all of toxic doomposting.

More lies. I correctly pointed out that if a person review bombs the game then they shouldn’t expect it to improve. It’s effectively a death sentence for a game to have a horrible review score.

Actually a minority of gamers play MMOs these days. It’s all about right now day one action genres like Survival, FPS, MOBA, and BR. Those are the genre that are capturing the multiplayer gamers. So to say super punishing all risk no reward MMOs fit a lot of players. Is simply not true. MMO genre is a niche genre these days.

The more MMO Devs pull stuff like they did in NW. The more and more players vacate the genre for more right now action genres. I mean why spend thousands of hours grinding only to be made useless. I have a select few playstyles. And if a game is going to pull a bait and switch. I’m sorry but it deserves all the bad publicity that it getting.

That is before we even talk about the mishandling of the bugs and exploits. That will take this game’s economy months if not years to recover from. Honestly I rather the Devs move to save NW. However their Dev Blogs are telling a different story. So at this point in time I am truly indifferent if this game get canned like Crucible did. Sorry but that’s the hard facts.

that’s not the customers problem, that’s the developers problem and while you can be negative and constructive at the same time there eventually comes a point where the constructive side of that will fall away, usually this happens when it becomes obvious that feedback is just ignored which the illusory PTR they recently did certainly pushed the game to that.

at the end of the day if the customer is not satisfied with the product they have every right to leave a negative review, if the game dies as a result of this that’s on the developers not the customer the fact that you’re trying to browbeat people into not leaving appropriate reviews is more then a little insane.

they can change the reviews to positive again like they changed them to negative from positive, right ?

so that is a big and serious warning from players. and if devs see that and make things better or show players they will make things better in a short time, then when players saw that good changes at game they will change it to positive from negative again.

but it is about developers now. how they will act will determine the players’ next step about steam reviews.

Stop lying. Seriously, just knock it off. I said that a game with horrible review scores is a doomed proposition from a financial investor’s perspective. So if you want amazon to pull the funding and walk away from the project then go ahead and contribute to making it happen. Bomb away.

It’s delusional to believe there’s going to be any other outcome.

I wish you were right. Sadly though, Amazon’s board of directors isn’t going to see it that way. They’ll just cut their losses and shut it down.

only one lying here is yourself, and you want to talk about delusional, in multiple threads you’ve claimed those speaking negatively about the game are shills working for AGS’ competitors(AGS would first have to be capable of competing with…well anyone).

you’re also claiming that people leaving negative reviews based on their own experiences is instead review bombing, as tho we’re conspiring to bring down the game…instead of you know just legitimately giving our thoughts, so what’s this talk of delusion you’re spewing?

you see this is why i refer to you as a cultist, in your eyes the reasoning for the negative reviews isn’t the bad design concepts(which have been doubled down on), the poor coding, poor engine, deceptive and illusory ptr, no in your eyes as you’ve made clear its the players conspiring to bring down the game you like that’s the cause of these negative reviews.
