94 million swimming hours impressive
Or they could not really care about the bugs and exploits, fix them as development time permits because in the end they aren’t causing as much harm as people think. Obviously the serious exploits need to be handled quickly (like being invulnerable) but balancing and basic weapon perks bugging out and such is whatever.
The end game right now is a 3.5 step process. Hit 60 > Faction Gear > Voidbent Gear > Pay Taxes.
Servers are going to die off and the players that care will transfer to populated servers. Over time you’ll have a couple dedicated servers at max capacity with most of the bugs with weapons fixed and everyone in Voidbent fighting over Terrority.
That will continue until the First content patch, which is likely a decent ways out.
You can dupe all the gold in the world, but there isn’t anything to spend it on
Ya, I would say those numbers are absolute proof NW is already a “dead game”
Am I doing this right?
Yup ,will be hard to read your posts as they introduce desert map on 22nd
I feel glad of my decision to jump ship when 1.0.3 was announced.
I also enjoy watching ships sink while sipping tea. My server didn’t break the 1000 threshold this weekend, it’s absolutely hilarious.
If they release the Desert map 1 day before Endwalker that will be the biggest, balliest and most awesome thing ever.
So why are you hanging around like a bad smell ?
You quit so go away.
Can’t you read? I enjoy disasters. On a similar note, why are you wasting time getting mad at bad smells on the forums instead of having fun in Aeternum?
To bad it won’t pull people from Endwalker. It would be the dumbest thing to do.
It would still be historically awesome though just as a small flex.
If you play FFXIV nothing is going to pull you from Endwalker.
Partly addiction.
Partly time and money spent already.
Partly hope for a better tomorrow in New World.
I broke all three by buying another game (Age of Empires 4), and playing it.
Now I just browse the forums every now and then for fun.
In the first month, it’s of course entirely expected that a game may experience a significant drop.
The difference is this that this trend is ongoing. The trajectory is a straight line down.
It’s now people trying it out the first week, not liking it, and then everything stabilizing (at a smaller number of players).
It’s a bleeding horse.
If they started implementing these things starting from today, it would take 6 months for the finished product.
The problem is, things such as balance, PvP issues, economy, and so forth are a design problem.
There is not even a design on how to address these; no quick hacks can solve the problems.
It is only after this design that you can add six months.
good numbers for an MMO TBH
hope they continue fixing and supporting the game.
I’ve taken a break(to play LA) but I’ll come back once its a bit more stable, got tired or losing pvp fights to people abusing bugs.
Why? It’s not like they’re making the game, just publishing it in a different region. Lost Ark has been out for years.
It’s going to be really interesting seeing the numbers at the end of December when it’s sub 100k. Will everyone on copium still be saying, “Losing 92% of your players in three months and continuing to bleed them is completely normal!”?
The discussion of this game reminds me of how the discussions for Wildstar were…
Yeah, that game is definitely releasing in January or February. It’s very obvious the delay was because of New World. With New World bleeding players like it currently is, they probably want to get Lost Ark out immediately.
ha!
I feel positive that unless AGS solves all(or most) of the major problems it has, it’ll just remain a C tier game always.
Well i actually agree with the dude… the peak number of players at the start of a new game will always be on fire and then subside quickly or slowly afterwards. I dont really understand the post/ question since everything is completely normal for todays standards of gaming. Its basically like saying you need to breathe air in order to live… em yes…
Honestly unbelievable, they have to be artificially inflating those numbers… I cant believe half the peak player base is still playing this mess of a game.
