The newest update as of this morning 10/13/21 on Steam has made the game unplayable. I launched into perfectly fine this morning before said update. I updated and now nothing. I verified files and even reset my com and nothing. Please advise.
Sounds like a install issue as you’re the first to make such a claim.
Nothing else was running and again I verified the files after the download…
Verification doesn’t always work.
Even still, It has to be something with the file update. Not the integrity of the download on my end,.

well I am sure that I cannot be the only one. I will just wait for this to catch on.
That happend for me also days ago… i updated steam and then on launch i would get steamapi64.dll file error.
I asked my friend to send his un-updated file from his folder since he didn’t closed steam, and it worked, the game launched normally
I understand that. I should still be able to get to the menu, no? Like I have in closed beta and in the regular game during updates. I should still be able to launch.
dunno about you i play in steam as well and i have the game running right now just waiting for the updates to finish
I got the update and I’m able to launch so its something on your end.
Idk, I completed the update at 9:22 Cst. I was not in the game when the update on steam was taking place.
actually, the same thing is happening to be I can install and update other games on the same drive however new world is giving me an error once the patch came out today saying D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\appmanifest_1063730.acf as the error code. I have tried to reinstall the game and same error msg. I ran in admin, reinstalled steam and reset pc and nothing but the same issue only for new world.
yup, same here exactly to the error code. I was able to “fix” this issue by re-installing the game on a DIFFERENT drive, sucks cuz the one it was on was my only fast ssd …

EDIT: I found a fix, reinstalled game on the same drive.
Same I had to reinstall the game. Several people in my company had the same issue
