Continuing this thread from back in September since the thread was locked but the bug still has not been fixed.
To Recap:
1.) When trying to character transfer I meet all of the in game requirements however at the final step the server hangs up for about 30 seconds and posts the following error.
– " Unexpectedly lost contact with gameplay server, please try again later."
2.) This IS NOT an issue with my computer. I’ve tried different computers and even different people logging into my account and they also get the same error. I’ve also completed all of the recommend troubleshooting steps from the technical team (E.g. verifying steam files)
3.) This IS NOT an issue with my account. I’ve created a fresh character and was able to transfer that character across servers multiple times with no issue.
4.) This IS a hidden issue specific to my main character. Likely due to some legacy item or setting on my character. This character was created on launch and I did not login to this character for 9 months (Jan 2022 - Sept 2022)
PS.) I’ve tried transferring 100’s of times over the past couple months from all different shrines/settlements and I have even sold my houses (even though its not across regions transfer)
I still cannot transfer servers, it’s the same issue as MANY people had from September, and I have not heard any updates from my previous 3 support tickets.
