Still lose attribute points for using SnS?

Which is what led me to believe that they don’t stack but only apply to the weapon being used.

This raises the question though of something like Hatred stacking from all gear. You’d think sword and shield Hatred percentages would stack with other gear with that stat.

If that is the case then does a perk like Keen stack from both sword and the shield?

Devs really need to clarify how perks stack for all gear, but especially in this case.

Some perks do stack if you have them on the shield and sword. Not sure if that is intended though.

Having the availability to 3 more perks is actually a very big deal and hives SnS a big advantage.

Agree.

SnS legit just slaps like a wet noodle

Try out DPS SnS with Round Shield (Keenly Empowered, 2x Enchanted, Vicious, Refreshing Move, Keen).

The damage is pretty high actually, especially with all the stagger/stun from Reverse Stab, Leaping and Shield Bash. Some nice combos for it exist.

Well, I got no problem with 6 perks, but I do find it unfair for other weapon mains and it is not balanced. But the whole shield implementation was a mess by giving it stats/perks. So maybe there is just no alternative.

Bro I Have… literally been playing SnS from the start of the game

My man your whole combo is completely ruined if the other person has a brain.
The if he’s running away from you just has to press ALT and look for your leap. One dodge and you’re not doing anythingggg.

Especially if we take into consideration that SnS does alright Dmg to a single target. And not AoE like what the current meta calls for.
Only thing you can hope to do is try and combo squishy healers. If they dont take out their rapiers in time.

And even if you hit everything its still LOWER Dps compared to a Ga or Spear combo.

My prediction is that it won’t bring SnS anywhere close to S tier. Ig we just have to wait and see.

Well, I am rather a Bow Main and use the SnS as my Melee Weapon. So, I mostly commit with Leaping after he is already low in Hp.

They did fixed the Leaping Strike tracking, so it’s not that difficult anymore to hit. It plays a lot around getting to the 50% Empower and hitting the Reverse Stab in the right moment.

Not that bad as you describe it that it would deserve 3 more perks compared to other weapons. But I said that is due to a design flaw and won’t be possible to fix.

It’s sad to see trolls like you not thinking for even 10 seconds before speaking.

Let me tell you my SnS build. Keen, Enchanted on both Shield and Sword. Shield has Keen Empowered and Sword Keenly Jagged. How f****** accurate does that sound for you?

10% crit chance and double Enchanted is quite strong.

I’m playing SnS as light armor and although I enjoy it, the way that it is right now it is quite broken. Of course, the only downside of wearing a shield is that you also have weight on it. It also sucks that you lose the stats while using the other weapon, but if you give SnS full stats it would also buff them into a really strong secondary weapon, so the way I see it, if they actually implement the stats, they either:

  1. Keep the weight, and reduce the number of perks (maybe 2x sword, 2x shield MAX) - this will force you to have less armor for the same armor class (e.g to keep it light you need all light gear and round shield, rather than being able to have medium chest), but you will still have a small advantage in terms of perks.
  2. Remove both the weight of the shield and the additional perks - which will make it equal armor class as everybody else, without any additional perks.

Chill out and be Civil.

Less emotional.

Don’t see them removing perks on shield after all the money people invested in their shield crafting. Giving other weapons an additional perk on the other hand may be an idea though.

Sadly we will probably have to wait till April.

Exact same situation happened with Feb Patch Gypsum Cooldown Changes and GRIT damage reduction changes, it is still not on live and it only coming with the March Patch, eventhough it was intended for the Feb release.

It seems like this is AGS’s new thing, overpromise and underdeliver.

Better than losing brain cells useing GA/IG, which can be played blindfolded.

That’s cool. I mean I have no idea what you spent all that time writing cuz I stopped reading at the first sentence… but good job you wrote a lot.

That proves the point, sad troll. The other guy explained it to you also in much detail, but it seems your brain can’t handle arguments and explanations longer than 3 words. The fact that it took you a couple of months to observe that the shield gives you 3 additional perks is also quite a tale.

In the end, it’s okay snowflake, just the first sentence was for you, the rest was for the community.

Now I’ve read two sentences that you’ve written.

Congratulations!

This is disappointing, they release a video that highlight the change, then don’t release it.

I’m wondering if folks even saw my post sometime back, about the SnS, and perhaps ‘why’ this isn’t fixed by now?

Let me see if I can find that…

Here we go, was a while back, and not as part of it’s own thread:

Basically, might AGS be working on a proper fix, rather than just a quick fix, to be followed later on by a ‘real’ fix?

The SnS combo is messed up, and a proper fix would see the sword having a skill tree like all other weapons, and the shield also having it’s own full tree.

Right now, we have enough content only for them to be used together, rather than as two stand alone items, and if ‘fleshing out’ both weapons takes a bit of time to get it right, I would much rather see that than something that still leaves them feeling broken and incomplete.

Right now, shield on the right, sword on the left, so each one has just 1/2 a skill tree. Every other weapon has a full tree, so why make a simple, quick, easy and flawed patch by half-assing the issue, rather than, say, completing each weapon with a full tree, and making a shield usable with any one handed weapon, like it should be?

It’s because it lacks aoe damage = not really topping the opr and war boards = people think it’s bad.

Any word on the fix, coming soon or we gotta wait another month? Is it being worked on currently?
