Here is a great exercise to practice (since you not working): Read - process it - understand - reply to the topic.
Laughing AND not addressing there are issue months after months is the problem. Missing clarity after 6 months where they want the game to go is a problem. Stating that the game is in a good state is the problem.
It is not the first month, not the first mistake and the game inevitable in a bad shape and in a downward spiral. Come upfront and accept it and be honest, give a clear roadmap (I know they promised it…) for the short term and some thoughts about the long term would be the minimal to turn around the trust and hope.
Here is why:
It is way easier to give constructive feedback if you know what is the plan
If you know that they have a clear plan for the next 6 months, you can be more patient or even more likely spend money in the game on cosmetics as you see the game have a future.
Players who left can see where the game will land eventually so can decide if they like it and can give it a second chance
Players who have not bought the game can see if the future is exciting so they can buy the game
They do the opposite. They are not transparent about the dupes, issues, known issues and progress of those. Multiple bugs are months after months on the “known issue” list without ETA or confirmation that they are aware and on it.
And these are just the short term harms. The missing vision, acting week over week to the most critical issue is fire fighting and chaos. None of these gives a good view of the game or the dev team.
I hope to get a roadmap soon. I heard even Fallout 76 is getting a FIVE YEAR roadmap here in the near future. They said they have 3 years finished just finalizing a plan for the final two.
If we could get a 1 year roadmap that would be a great start!
Not gonna lie for the amount of hype behind the game in the beginning I figured a roadmap would’ve been released way sooner. Not having one released yet gives off an unorganized group of devs vibe.
Road map will serve us nothing. Combat it’s completely broken after 6 months. What are we going to do with this road map ? Oh yes we can see when to take brakes off the game because on every new patch there’s more problems than before. I like the game and I’m playing it while trying to work my way around all the failures with high hopes we can get existing content to work!
The infrastructure / used technology can not support the game.
It does not hold up.
There is no way to fix it, they have to start a new game with lesson learned.
Or silently redo the platform und do the switch when ready in a big upate.
Sorry, but that is how it is.
If only they would comply with every single person’s demands this very second…
These developers are human. I’m sure they are very well aware of all the problems and many request of added content. Developers have informed everyone they are actively trying to fix things. It may not exactly on your timeline; however, sometimes it may be a bit harder than just simply clicking a few buttons. Constructive feedback would most likely encourage them to continue to try and make a better game for everyone. You can only trash someone for so long before they finally say “to hell with it.”
