Wait, you didn’t protect your Steam account, your Steam account got hacked, someone used your Steam account to log into a game only launchable through Steam, stole your cash, and you want AGS to hand you your money back?
Every game you have on Steam is now wide open but it’s an AGS problem?
Just because it never happened before does not mean amazon is the blame. Your steam got hacked. Your expectations for AGS to reimburse you seem outlandish at best
Firstly, give AGS Support time to get around to your ticket/email as they are being spammed by the kiddos who were banned for duping and other individuals who have other concerns that they need to have resolved.
So to be “hacked” you would have been using the same password & email address for everything you do on the Interwebs. Also, as mentioned, you do not have the step 2 authenticators on your account.
It all boils down to your responsibility for the security of your computer, the software you use and the security information that you use. NEVER USE THE SAME PASSWORD FOR EVERYTHING!
Also, people who end up buying gold from Chinese gold farming websites, normally get their accounts hacked very quickly because most of those websites, have keyloggers, which you’ll end up having injected into your system from the browser, if again you do not run any form of antivirus, which isn’t some free crap from the ass end of the internet.
So at the end of the day, be patient, and you’ll get a response, when they get around to your email.
In the meantime, change your passwords, add the 2-step authenticator to your Steam account and any other gaming related accounts, which you may use.
You are always responsible for your account and it’s safety.
It should be like this, you enter the game, enter your login and password also from the level of the game and here a different password and here another.
So if you’re saying that someone magically hacked your Steam account, while you have a 2nd step authenticator on it, then I want to share with you some knowledge of 15 years of gaming industry support experience.
YOU ARE TALKING OUT YOUR ASS!
For a hacker to bypass the mobile authenticator, they will need access to your mobile phone, which unless you’re currently visiting China and inside one of the gold farming sweatshops, then it’s highly unlikely.
You also probably bought something off the trading post, without paying attention and got ripped off, losing all your gold. So you’re making up this story, which is normally the case.
You do know that when Amazon get around to reviewing your case, they will be able to see where the login access is coming from.
As I can tell you’re Polish, I have this sneaky feeling there will be no VPN access to your account or Chinese IPs, but will probably be 2 Polish IPs.
Your IP address and the IP address of your friend, who you’ve been sharing your account with.
