Stop ignoring mages

They need to do something about pillar then. I know it’s had placement issues since the beginning.

Yeah pillar is in a very rough spot. I’m currently using it as I happen to be pretty good at landing it(and I find current flamethrower to be boring af). But the damage is lacking, the circle is too small. It used to be good when it multi-hit and could refresh near instantly with the right perks, but they killed that good.

Also you are right with the placement. It gets stuck on the tiniest rock, or an ally, or casts at my feet for no reason.

It’s honestly kind of mind boggling that it’s had that issue from the start, and nothing has been done. I think they just can’t fix it and are afraid to tell people they can’t lmao. If that’s the case they should rework the ability all together.

It can be done, but alot of other builds do it better. All that really matters is if you enjoy the play style.
In fact other than musket, mage is probably the worst for solo PvE

Depends. I think fireball dmg is to low and area of efffect to big. I would reduce area and increase a dmg a little bit.

Sure I could go for more damage, with a smaller hitbox. I’m all for high payout skillshots.

Im asking for more dmg on pillar all the time i can. Design of firestaff abilities is bad:

  • flamethrower - that has lowest skill required to use - does x3 more dmg over time than pillar of fire (rlly good skill required to land vs moving target)

Pillar should have dmg increased by factor of 2 at least.

I’d be happy with 10% to 20% on pillar and buffing fire balls damage by 40% and nerfing the empowered fire ball to 10% and 20% on weapon so we can run 3 weapons perks with out being locked into empowered fire ball tbh

Then I think fire staff would be back on the menu

Its clear at this point the community team are discourteous and dont even have the basic decency to reply to any of the posts and have not even replied to the direct posts sent to their handle…

No it wont be. Since weapons mage has arent main problem right now. Right now poroblem is that mage as a class fights in 10-15m range to main blob of enemy bruisers. And most bruisers do have at least 1 weapon with movment skills like charge. So they can close that gap in like 3-4sec.

And same time they can keep mage in place by just light attacking - mele stagger crap. While mage has no skills to get out. Previosly light armor dodge was used. But it does not work any more. To short compared to range of mele weapons like GS and mobility mele weapons do offer.

I don’t really have this problem unless I’m getting run down by 3 bruisers and one of them needs to be actually decent and in light armour
