Lets just start this off with, I’ve played healer. Both PvP and PvE - full end game - for whatever that even really means.
Healing after recent “performance improvements” AKA nerfs to the AoE splash healing on both Orb Of Protection on top of the nerf to self healing with left click has needless to say been somewhat nerve-wrecking. Anyone that has done any end game content as a solo healer knows what I’m talking about. I will note though I do believe in the self healing nerf. (No left click spammy the ground needed to be removed)
The true “balancing” that needs to be done is to the HEAVY ARMOR meta as Medium and Light STILL do not give the appropriate benefits. Additionally every little healer needs nerfed video highlights the other “balancing” that needs done. See below.
These unkillable healers are unkillable because of a multitude of issues within game that have not been addressed.
-
Heavy Armor - Way too tanky, too many pros vs cons. There is a reason its called Heavy Armor meta and not Medium Armor meta, or Light Armor meta. Everyone runs Heavy and if you’re not, you don’t know what your doing. Entire servers have even come to the point that if you wanna play in the war, you’re wearing heavy no matter what class you are.
-
Sword and Board - Can eat an absurd amount of hits and regain stamina fairly quickly. Even better if you’re in Heavy, which you are, a majority of this game is. Hell you even got some pretty good CC and a nice little self heal!
-
Fortify - Stacking fortify is absurdly too easy when its in both your “healing” tree and your “tanking” tree.
-
Stamina - Its sloppy and really one of the major reasons why people live for 5 minutes straight. I should not be able to hold a sword and shield and take 50 hits over 30 seconds and release my block for merely 3 seconds and be able to block another 50 hits. Rinse & Repeat.
Unfortunately, this community sees green circle, green circle must be keeping him alive, when in reality its the shield that just absorbed virtually everything. Its the heavy armor that has turned him into an immovable object and mitigates entirely way too much. Its the stamina that knows no limit and replenishes in a flash of an eye and takes a beating to even drop it.
But hey, go on and keep nerfing healing. We like to complain about healers, until you end up needing one to help you do… idk anything in this game. =)
