Just an idea, before any other weapon builds get deleted like the life staff, ice gauntlet and fire staff. Let people figure out how to counter what they are losing to in PvP. Just because something kills me doesn’t mean it is overpowered. Maybe my sword and rapier build is not that great against a ranged attack. Let us figure it out before spoon feeding us with a nerf to whatever. Or I will just keep using that bad set up and think it is good.
With the now broken Musket/Bow mechanics, fire/ice nerfed to death… Maybe the next ranged item introduced should not be deleted as soon as anyone complains about it. Although we know it will, if any pvp hard-core dies before they can slaughter them with whatever OP melee build they are abusing at the time.
Devs have more stats than “something kills me and its OP”. So they know what is real OP and was not. At least when they are able to interprete the data correctly.
There are numerous data points looked at when nerfing/buffing anything, and if you read the patch notes you’ll see some melee weapons actually got buffs along with some nerfs to things that were a bit overtuned. I think the changes are good for the game as a whole. No one is deleting weapons. Everything is good right now.
