Toxic positivity is when someone is being positive in a situation where that is harmful or dismissive to another persons struggle. For example, when someones relative dies and you tell them they just need to “be happy and things will work out” or someone that just lost their job that they should “Be positive and try harder next time” rather than being sympathetic. What it’s not is people enjoying something and defending that enjoyment.
Yes it exists, obviously. If you’ve never dealt with it you’re lucky to not have those kind of people in your life.
So you are angry that people still like the game. If you don’t like it then leave. You are like a customer who walks in to a restaurant and doesn’t like the food so instead of leaving to find a restaurant you like, you stand there in the restaurant whining complaining about it while everyone else is enjoying their food. Sounds like YOU are the toxic one here. Leave and go find another game you prefer. I’m tired of people whining and moaning about it instead of leaving to find something they prefer. Game lost 2/3 of its player base because the game is in a late alpha state at best. Broken economy (even though the devs disagree), huge bugs, exploits, crappy weapon trees for some weapons and a really shitty community to add the cherry on top.
Almost every single comment or thread you made is negative. You have nothing positive to say, you think the game is “shit” and you’re clearly not enjoying the game. So if that’s the case why don’t you take the advice you gave someone else…

You know i was a kid once not a long time ago. I used to get upset when i was told things like that.
However when youre older you realize you were just being childish and your parents were trying their best to make you feel better. Just because they didnt say it in the way you wanted doesnt mean its “toxic positivity”.
Besides, to me, being toxic is being negative to the point that other people are negative and it just spreads negativity to everyone. So toxic positivity doesnt really make sense. Unless it looked at as a good thing.
Purchase justification and corpo white knighting are very real and alive in this community. Don’t expect much sympathy from these gas bags.
I have run into this myself a lot with this game. Some people just can’t allow any complaints about even an obviously and significantly flawed game as this. They must defend “their” game and even tear down those that point out issues. It’s really pathetic how easily some will give away their allegiance and for literally nothing in return.

It’s the same with EVERY new game. People buy into the hype, try it, realise it’s not for them, and leave.
The fact we still hit nearly 400k consistently shows the game isn’t dying, though I’ll need to check today’s peak count seeing as it was 270k at 11am (11 hours ago for me here in the UK)
But just because people leave a game, does not mean it’s dying. It’s not toxic positivity, it’s common bloody sense.
Edit: 285k peak today. Wonder why that many people left, would guess a large chunk of that is down to banned people stupidly exploiting hatchet…
