Extremely frustrated that after saving up almost 2.5 months worth of cooldowns and rolling several scarabs and 20+ runic stopwatches (heavy chests) to have nothing to show for all my hard work.
Gathering everyday, running elites, etc. for MONTHS in preparation for BS and I roll 2 600GS out of 20 rolls with runic stopwatches. That’s a 0.07% chance of rolling 0 600GS in 18 rolls with a 33% chance per roll of getting the 600. I need to play the lottery with these odds.
The scarabs cost you around 20k per roll (depending on what you craft) with all the mats, extra requirements and the extremely high price due to the scarabs being impossible to get.
This is precisely why non-territory owning companies/players quit. You damn near need unlimited gold to craft even just a few good items.
Maybe after a couple weeks of saving more cooldowns I’ll do another crafting spree with jewelry this time. Honestly don’t even want to play after today.
Golden Scarabs are really easy to get. Most people just don’t know how to get them. You can get between 1-4 per day. I have been getting two per day and my friend got 4 today. The price is really over-inflated, especially due to it being the first week of the update, with everyone thinking they’re rare and wanting to craft with them. So yes they are a scam.
Yeah the “chances” are an absolute lie. I rolled 10 items - 0 600. Two weeks of cooldowns and countless hours of farming mats to craft them. All gone with nothing to show for it.
Crafting in this game is a joke. Anything under 600 gear score is completely useless. The RNG to get good 600 gear score items in a craft is so terrible you are better off winning the lottery IRL.
Same with me, used a number of runic stopwatches and no GS600 item at all.
But it is not a scam, it is statistics or luck, if some would prefer this term. That is something some people do not understand. If there is just a probability of something, then there is a probability that even in a hundred tries, there is no success. And this is not a scam, but simply result of having chances without guarantee.
Nonetheless I am with you, it is very frustrating to invest all the ressources and gain, well, nothing.
I definitely agree it’s a great system having crafts hard to obtain but I had a 0.07% chance of hitting 0 out of 18. That is ridiculous.
With 20 stopwatch rolls the numbers say you get 6 at 600. So in a perfect world I would have gotten 6 but I got 2. I’m on my eighth scarab now and no 60 as well.
I had fun by preparing myself to craft something good for once. I just hit 200 armoring before BS release so I was excited to try and get a much easier chance at 600.
Someone in AGS has a weird attitude about what is fun if you ask me. Still think they are using resource starvation and silly random chance to make up for the lack of end game content. All MMO’s need grind to give you something to do between expansions, AGS need to design good quality grinds instead of relying on 2000-2010 era dumb ass no life rarity grinds. Steady slow progress over 0.0000018% chance any day,

Thery never really comment on resources and the random factor stuff, so they know it’s an ish and just hide from addressing it. Would have more respect if they said yes at present, it’s an issue but in the long run it will be disposed of and replaced with X.
They cant go on like this forever, no matter how they improve the game people will lose faith.
AGS dent hide top tier power behind walls, it alienates 80% of your player population. Give some parallel power things to grind for the rabid peeps.
Crafters demands are nothing else than just give everyone free stuff. You will not sell anything economy will collapse. Only hope will be change pvp system to full loot after death with possibility to get some items destroyed. In Albion Online it works here it will only leads to total disaster. So you want to be able to craft legendaries 3 perks BIS items more often … ok and you know their prices will be around ~2-3k right …per piece?
Dude I hit a 0.07% chance of rolling 0/18 stopwatches. I’m not trying to make gold off this, Im trying to have armor that isn’t dog water. So I do not care what the price goes down too. The companies that have territories craft non stop with the unlimited gold they have.
The whole third perk thing being hard to get is just pointless, if you a top tier crater you should be able to craft top tier kit.
they should have some v good kit with perks that cannot be crated, these can be used as grind objectives.
For example the new acid resistance chitin patches, I will just craft a set of heavy VB and slap chitin patches on it, guaranteed leg and more than adequate for farming runs in the acid pools of BS.
Cannot be assed to stress for BiS gear for something like that lol.
Imo waste of gold if Shirking fort, resilent + refreshing is ~50k with freedom, ~120k xd Thats how much I paid, And they were dropped by someone. Also 2 perks gear is not a dog water its enough for pvp … if you plan your build correctly. For me drops and crafting in this game are in really weird state… We have drop rates as in typical full loot pvp game and we dont have this system and Devs dont know how to fix it xd With full loot pvp crafting would be really profitable. Now nobody will buy your 2 perks if I van just go dungeon or some minibosses and drop it for free in 15 mins… Edit. So instead of trying your luck in craft do 25 mutations weekly and after 3 weeks you will just buy ready items xd
