Storage and Trading redesign

There are a number of issues with the current system. 100 trades is too restricting. Not only does it effect people who enjoy heavy trading, but the buy/sell margins are wildly unstable because players don’t have enough trade slots to keep competitive buy orders up on low volume items like gems or trophy upgrade materials.

Storage Overflow is an issue because people can sell 100 10k stacks of items and let them expire into a shed easily hitting 100k weight per region.

A cleaner design would be to remove overflow, and increase shed size by 5-10x. Alternatively you could link them because they are already linking trading. Also it feels stupid that my bags carry 2x the storage my shed can. Then remove trade caps and make it so the sell orders don’t remove items they lock them. So trades would become limited by shed space not trade count. You could do the same for buy orders. They would reserve the space needed to store the items.

Thoughts or Alternative solutions? I feel the current system is in disarray.

I think the sheds should start at about 2500 capacity and increase by 100 with region upgrades instead of 25… and the chests from housing could be 10, or at least 5 times bigger…
I also think that stuff you are selling or buying should take space in the shed.

Though the new patch should prevent selling items if your storage is full, so no extreme TP storage exploitation.

I think the 100 trade restriction is fine, though I would not mind if there was a way to increase it a bit. I have hard time track my orders when they get above 50, so not for me. And I think it encourages bit of specialisation.

I made a similar thread Please link storages

They need to do something. Hopefully if enough of us make a stink about it they will see it and listen

Rather than a house I would like the facility to rent more warehouse space in the storage or purchase a warehouse (we run a company after all)
Not a fan of linking as would like caravan gameplay at some point - though magic bags make it a bit moot

I think people are restricting themselves.

Why are there so many gear items listed for less than 5g? Just salvage them instead of listing and hoping for that 1g ‘profit’.

Why are people listing items that are 0.01g? Just drop that crap on the ground if you can’t store it.

With the time you saved doing that micro management you can do one OPR and get 250g.

And trade post prices won’t be rock bottom anymore because people don’t list every shit they pick up.

You forget that OPR is only available from lvl 60 on and hard to even be able to play it if server pop is somewhere between 400-0

I doubt it’s the pre 60s who have a problem with the 100 listing limit.

OPR on dead servers don’t work totally right, but then again what’s the point of listing 100 low demand items on a dead server. Who is gonna buy them?

Funny thing is, prices on low pop servers are in general higher than on high pop servers.

Less people, less gatherer, less supply. So some low pop have good economy.

There some server with 50 users.

So they did patch out selling on a full shed. So while it’s very annoying to some it’s alit more punishing to those who overload the shed.

As for the 100 item limit I hit that all the time. If you are a top tier crafter into tools or jewelry you easily hit that cap. I could easily have 50 buy & 50 sell orders of crafting materials. That doesn’t even count finished products.
