I don’t understand the storage design. I have read a bit into how the game was at launch and I feel like storage is a bit of a legacy holdout from year one. If you could simply access ALL your storage locations while crafting it would be fine. I think… who knows… that might cause other problems maybe, but I can’t think of any. Bots? But… would it be an MMO then?
I normally don’t make a post about things or complain. However, I started this game with 4 other people and EVERY ONE of them quit because of the storage system. To be honest, I can’t argue with them. It’s terrible.
You HAVE to do something about this. The houses aren’t enough, the faction upgrades are too small, traveling to different towns to craft on one table is annoying and then it matters what state the zone is in… ugh… just annoying and not well designed.
The way storage works is you open the storage closet, you put stuff into it you don’t feel like holding onto. Later, if you want it back, you open the storage closest and reverse the process.
totally agree with you. since transferring stuff is free now it does not make sense that they are all broken up. with that said, my prediction is that it will literally be years before they address this.
People who think the storage design is bad is just to poor to buy a t4 house and fill it with golden chest so you can have like 6k+ weight in that town
I dunno about “this” buuuuut… I “do” agree there’s nothing wrong with the way storage works ingame. It “used” to be bad, back in the day. It’s fantastic now though. I personally love it.
To be fair - I am SUPER NEW to the game. I don’t know how much a house costs or what it takes. I am new and already capping my storage and moving it around to craft or going to a different town to craft, that your faction may no longer own, is kind of annoying.
See… for my storage… I usually have smelting items in one town, woodworking in another, weaving in another, and so on and so on. Keeps everything nice and neat and when I want to craft (whatever) I just shuffle things as needed (mostly just onto myself temporarily).
Wasn’t being condescending lol. Just was explaining it’s pretty easy to understand and using my little brother as a metric. That’s all. You said they quit because it was too hard to understand.
See my point?
Deep breath, man. DEEEEEP breath. No one’s attacking you.
Owning a house with storage chests is a huge plus for storage in your preferred town. Like posted above you can have upwards of 6k storage weight in that town.
Other wise I tend to sperate certain groups of items to specific towns. I have all my weapons in one town, then I have all my armor pieces in seperate towns sorted by their primary attribute. All my cooking stuff in one town etc.
Since it now free to move storage contents from and to anywhere it is so much better than it used to be.
