Storage Organization: with fidelity mockups

Good morning,

I was looking into some ways to help organize the storage system here is what i came up with.

Tagging system

  • The basic concept is to tag items in the storage and invetory. The game would have a few set up concepts for tags like colors. Tags will apply a small color box in the top right of each item-slots box in the gui (or the item itself).

Players will be able to tag items at their choice with tags. Tagged sets will be “search able” via a bar at top with “buttons” that are of the same color etc to the preset group.

In addition you could in theory also create number/lettings to this tagging system instead of just colors. if you wanted to enable players to have even more ways to tag things, you could take the tagging system to a whole new level and create icons for various things like icon tags for armor sets, alchemy / potion tags, food tags and so on.

this way players can quickly sort tags by a type and get all the mats they need for potions, or the sets they need for dungeons.

Can we make sure this gets up to the design team?

Yes please! ^^

Hi there, Nourri!

Thank you for your great suggestion and thank you for demonstrating how you would implement it.

We’re always looking to improve all aspects of the game and QoL regarding organizing is something the community has been asking for quite frequently lately. I’ll send your idea and mockup to the development team.

Thanks for all you guys do, centeoti.

What i would mike, that would be not too hard to implement, just amlow us to create our own “category” (like Arcana, Basic food, apparel, weapon etc…) In addition to all those default category, if we could create our own it would help us organize on our own.

Got crafter in mind at first, to let them organize by atteibutes or something
Maybe some would like to sort all the armor by creating their own Heavy / Light / Medium category.
I personally would create one per set i’ve. Like (Tank corrupted, Tank chardis, Tank war, Ga bruiser, Light pve healer, Harvesting set, Miner set) etc … This way i could click on the little “take all items from that category” arrow, to get all my healer set in my onventory at once.

It could arguably add many different category in my inventory making it very long. But that would be up to the player. I could revert back to default if i’m not happy anymore.

Took armor as an exemple since it’s where the biggest mess is for me (and those using multiple sets). But crafters could also create their own category like splitting their resources to prepare for huge crafting sessions

Idk if that makes sense

You can basically with this principle. You can mark say Hyssop and water for potions under red or an icon (potion? icon) depending on how the design team sets it up.

This means that any combination of categories can be made and instantly identified by sorting to that color sorting mode. its just a matter of clicking on gear, or items in storage or inventory and color coding (tagging) it
