Strange Graphics: why does it look like this on high

This is on the high video settings for the game.

I just put in a 1660 ti, replaced a rx 570 which was running low graphics and looked a lot better than this.

I updated the drivers and have gone played with all video settings in game.

Those my friend look like textures not loading in properly or at all.

My game gets these textures all over the place as I run, though less severe, constantly. This has to be fixed, its been this way since launch. Many many players have this problem and we are far above required specs.

Relaunch can help it as well as clearing the nvidia shader cache and making sure your game is on an ssd. Not much else does anything.

I am verifying game files through steam rn, gonna see if that does anything

did not work"

Did you ever run the potato mode graphics setting in nvidia? I’d restore your nvidia settings to default and try again if so, if not I’m not sure what’s going on. but it does resemble the nvidia settings that people used to use get get FPS boost. to a T.

If not then maybe try to reinstall your drivers and do a “Custom” install and select “Clean install”. if that doesn’t work, try to re-install the game maybe. otherwise I’m not sure

@AKAWhiteIce Did this help at all? if not sorry!

Hey there and welcome to the forums.

I’ve moved this to the support section so our support team can help you out here.

Hello and welcome to the forums @AKAWhiteIce and thank you @Centeotl for moving the post and @Jubbin for the helpful advice,

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having issues with low quality textures or textures not loading at all.

Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:

  1. Ensure your video drivers are up to date.
  2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance.
  • Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  • Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.
  1. Adjust your in-game video settings.
  2. Clean boot Windows by following these instructions:
How to perform a clean boot in Windows (to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware).
  3. Reset your video driver software to the default settings.
  4. Check for evidence of overheating.
  5. Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
How To run a Steam Integrity Check

If the issue persists after this, the scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be best if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games.

I hope this helps and if not, do not hesitate reaching out to live support.

See you in Aeternum! :wolf:

ive had the issue of textures not loading aswell

seems to happen randomly at various places and degrees of severity

verifying steam files does nothing so dont bother.
the relog will likely fix it. at least temporarily, until the engine craps out again while playing.

Alright guys, so the problem was that I used niv-profile-inspec, and turned down the graphics so my old graphics card could keep up. I switched over a few texture settings from “override” to the default.
