and still going:

I kinda think it’s a good thing when public people use them so they are highlighted and fixed asap.
Wasn’t this guy was banned for using life/fire staff macro stuff?
Also, we have a bug report forum that you must teach how to exploit… I wouldn’t blame anyone at this point.
I have searched for a way to privately report a content creator for openly advertising a 3rd party website that offers ingame coin sales and boosting services but haven’t found a way to directly report them. Would anybody have some advice on this?
hell i havent streamed in like half a year want me to stream and create content totally legit. I can make over 1000 gold in 30 min. no hacks cheats exploits or even running daily missions.
Ah yes streamers and content creators. Who woulda thought these degenerates would be cheating and exploiting. I would of never guessed.
Seriously 95% of these people are the dumbest and worst type of people out there. “All for the watches”. Not all are bad but seriously these people are idiots.
Giving exposure to bugs and exploits isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The problem begins when AGS is slow to notice and react to it.
SniperNamgedG, solidFPS and their friends have been playing legit for the first few weeks, and they have been pointing out the exploits the community been using. For example the cannon boss in reekwater. That small mob up the gate was only “fixed” a month later, people have been abusing it for over a month… and their fix was only to remove all the loot from that small mob. This is “just” one little example.
Sniper have been pointing out all those issues on stream for weeks, and how it demoralizes him and his friends to play anymore. And then later they just started abusing all those exploits too, i guess they stopped caring since AGS didn’t fix them and lots of people have been abusing them.
There are still many exploits like that btw. Plant boss at eternal pool? Being abused on a daily basis for hours, nobody even gets a ban for that. A lv 66 elite named boss.
Genesis Kentos or what his name named boss, was abused for weeks, and it is still not fixed, but they at least started banning people for it. Another high level named boss that drops all the good loot from that dungeon.
The force respawn bug works on most bosses, get out of sight of the boss, and it respawns under 2-3 mins. Being abused for weeks.
We could go on, most of us know about those exploits, and many of us have even used some of them.
But wanna hear the worst thing? AGS knows about it too, check the threads on forums, the bug report section, they are all there. And yet they are still not fixed after weeks of those exploits being publicly known.
And Sniper have suggested so many times, even if fixing it is difficult or complicated, at least disable those bosses or the dungeon all together if needed, instead of letting the community abusing it.
Do the content creators make those exploits more publicly known? Yes
But most of those exploits can be easily searched even here on the forum, takes little effort.
But the bigger issue is the slow response and fix to those exploits.
There’s a huge difference between giving visibility to exploits and such, and providing step by step how-to guides. I’ve seen some argue that it’s a good thing because it forces AGS to move quicker to address the exploits, but the more people that are made aware of how to reproduce it, the more cleanup work AGS then has to perform undoing all the dupes/etc. That energy could be spent fixing bugs, instead they have to spend time checking database to track down dupe’d items because X amount more people used the dupe than otherwise would have thanks to some streamer showing them how.
Does anyone really think AGS wouldn’t have given attention to fixing a dupe without a streamer broadcasting the exact steps to reproduce it? I call B.S. Streamers are doing that because it gets them more clicks, people need a reality check.
Every time I see someone post “Streamers are doing this” and “Streamers are the cause of that”, all I think of is how jealous this person is. Streaming has nothing to do with personal morality.
Streamers are people, just like every other player in the game. There are some that are good players, there are some that are bad and selfish, and only want to get ahead at any cost. There are some that love their community and like to foster a place where people can play games together. So stop lumping “Streamers” together and call the bad ones out with proof. If you don’t have proof, and you are just spewing generalities with nothing to back it up, it reflects on you. So stop stereotyping.
The good ones get lumped in unfairly. One of their benefits is LEADERSHIP SKILLS. Any person is capable of having leadership skills, whether they are a streamer or not. Some use those skills for good, some for bad, but that is a morality issue, not based on whether they stream or not. If they didn’t stream, those who cheat would still cheat, and those who lead solid groups who like fair game, would still lead those groups.
So why some of you streamers got banned for showing their tits during a stream?
You have to give step by step walktrhough of bugs and exploits here on forum.
You don’t actually, in a lot of these cases Lux or another CM have said to DM them directly with the details. I fully agree the formatting of bug reports that the forum says to follow is ridiculous for broadcasting exploits and such and needs to be changed.
But the rest of us can use common sense and describe the exploit and what the effect is, and bring attention to it without informing the entire playerbase how to abuse it.
This morning when I wanted to report a streamer directly, without publicly naming them, I tried directly messaging Lux but she had messaging turned off and I can fully understand why. As you read through many threads here on the forums people will rampantly name her and a few of the mods in an attempt to draw them into the convo’s so I can only imagine the amount of pm’s that random people would attempt to send.
Notice you said “some”. THAT for sure is a morality issue. And a sad statement to lack of self esteem of said streamer. You wont ever see that kind of content on my stream. If I get someone to watch my channel, it will be on the merits of my content and personality, not on the size of my boobs, flirting or sexual content. I’m happily married to another streamer. Daisy don’t do that crap!
So, you proved my comment. Streamers are people, and like people, they come from all walks of life and all stages of morality. Some will cheat and be lazy, some will work hard. Some have wholesome content and stream to entertain a solid friendly community, some are raunchy and will do anything to stroke their lacking self-esteem to get someone to like them.
