On launch day I was at the back of a long queue so I Alt-Entered to put the game in windowed mode so I could minimise it and do something else while I waiting to get in.
I’ve been stuck in pseudo-windowed mode since.
If I go into FullScreen, I’m still within a different windowed mode within the full screen (I can’t interact with the close/minimise buttons).
How can I get rid of this windowed mode?
I had same problem.
The only thing that fixed it for me was reinstalling my gpu drivers lmao.
But next of that im crashing after 10mins ingame annyway…
I really wouldnt trust New World with youre gpu tbh.

I noticed that happens if I use Alt-Enter to switch to windowed mode instead of the Settings. How are you switching?
And I needed to restart the game client to resolve.
Yeah I Alt-Entered. But now it doesn’t matter if I Alt-Enter or use the settings. “Fullscreen” mode still has this windowed version within it.
I have restarted but it doesn’t help.
So I stupidly pressed alt-enter and this happen to me. I fixed it by changing my resolution down to 1024x768 and then switched to fullscreen. And then switched my resolution back to my native resolution. Hope this helps!
