Musket players should be rewarded by high rate of on-target shots. My suggestion is to incorporate this mechanic into musket play in the form of stacked self buffs when on-target shot occurs and removal of buff when you miss.
Give the player a single choice from these 3 passives:
Deadly Accuracy: +5% dmg when you hit an enemy, +10% when it is a headshot. Stackable up to a maximum of +50%. -10% dmg of this buff when you miss. Each stack of the buff lasts for 15 seconds and is refreshed upon application.
Keen Accuracy: +2% critical damage chance when you hit an enemy. +3% when it is a headshot. Stackable up to maximum of 15%. -3% of buff when you miss. Each stack of the buff lasts for 15 seconds and is refreshed upon application.
Vicious Accuracy: +10% critical damage when you hit an enemy, +15% when it is a headshot. Stackable up to maximum of 80%. -20% of buff when you miss. Each stack of the buff lasts for 15 seconds and is refreshed upon application.
Active skills will also revolve around this self buff. Few examples:
Gambit: Consume all accuracy stacks. Deals 150% damage and knocks down opponent.
- upgrade 1 - if at max accuracy stacks, also apply bleed of 100% damage over 5 seconds
- upgrade 2 - if you miss, you don’t lose your stacks
Organ Grinder: Consume all accuracy stacks. Deals 120% damage and target receives 50% less healing effects for 5 seconds.
- upgrade 1 - Target receives 50% less healing effects for 8 seconds.
The ultimate passive ability can be:
Roulette: You benefit from all 3 accuracy buff types randomly when you are on target. You also lose the buff randomly when you miss.
