I know, I know. That would change the whole idea of player driven economy, but hear me out. If we had NPC merchant we could sell out junk to, we would probably stop seeing a flood of 0.01 items in the trade post. Not only that, there would also be another way to bring income into the game. We all know this is severely needed.
Crafted 1000 potions at your camp to get rep, but they only sell for 0.01 at the TP? Sell them to an NPC and make 10.00 as opposed to throwing them on the ground. This would also make it so that there is a designated minimum value to things. No more 0.01 junk in the TP.
Also, merchants with select items (Pigments, rare herbs, etc) locked behind rep merchant would also give players something else to do (Grind rep to unlock items at vendors).
