Instead of just giving us a “better chance at perks” why not make it so as we spend more Azoth on an item we get more control over what it turns out with.
Such as…
Stage 1 = Random; as it is now
Stage 2 = Control Attributes (using crafting material like we do now)
Stage 3 = Control Gem Slot (using crafting material like we do now)
Stage 4-6 = Control Perks (using crafting material like we do now)
Stage 1 = 0 Azoth
Stage 2 = 15 Azoth
Stage 3 = 30 Azoth
Stage 4 = 45 Azoth
Stage 5 = 60 Azoth
Stage 6 = 75 Azoth
So what if we get to make a custom piece once and not run through the RNGesus.
“But the markets will crash”
No they won’t. The cost of the end item will go down, while the cost of the Properties Modification materials will go up. Which means the item cost, while it may decline, will not crash.
What it will definitely do is increase the importance of: Invasions, Outpost Rush, Wars, and Corruption Portal farming. To insure a supply of Azoth to craft ‘perfect roll’ items.
