Preface:
Sharing this with you all because I think this is a great idea that would incentivize more people to engage in open-world PvP (rather than simply flagging and using it as a way to boost their luck, though never purposely fighting, which is what we see now). This suggestion comes from a person with over 1000 hours in-game who wants to see the game succeed and thrive. This suggestion also accounts for the potential for bot/RWT abuse (though that aspect may be improved). This also wouldn’t require much work from an implementation perspective.
TLDR for Open-world PvP mechanic feature addition:
- Level 55+ players receive a “token” when they kill another 55+ player in open-world PvP.
- This token can be exchanged at the faction vendor for a loot chest (similar to OPR loot chest) that drops an RNG item between 590-600.
- For players < 55 (or if a player who is 55+ kills a player less than level 55), open-world PvP kills would continue dropping the same gear that it does now.
