- What is your character name in New World: Elyo Grivas
- What server/world did you experience your issue on: Valhalla
- Describe the issue you are experiencing:
Allow sellers to remain anonymous by removing the territory location from all Trading Post listings. This would aid in stopping players with multiple NW accounts from identifying and targeting specific players and their sell/buy orders. - Is this a bug or an exploit: exploit of the current system
i noticed that you skipped the section asking how to reproduce it…
If I have 11 New World Accounts (one account for each territory - Not incl EG, SM, GC) I can stay posted at each Trading Post 24/7 and monitor all buy and sell orders in all 11 territories.
Especially now, with low player traffic.
Example: Of my 11 accounts I’m on the account I have in posted at Windsward Trading Post. I see Elyo approach the Windsward trading post. As I refresh I notice a listing pop-up for 1500 rawhide in Windsward by looking at the territory tag in that listing.
I’ll know that Elyo was the player who submitted that listing - due to the territory tag on the listing.
People shouldn’t know who is listing items for X amount of coin simply for sitting and monitoring transactions in all 11 territories 24/7.
It’s not fair and it’s a huge problem on my server.
-
you seriously think someone is sitting there staring at 11 different monitors and monitoring everything as it is posted in real time?
-
even if this was true (which assuredly it is not lol) it can be mitigated by simply using a TP that typically has multiple players at it.
-
your the same guy who claims people were spying on the contents of his locker simply because they were in the vicinity of the shed lol. you even claimed you had begun reporting them.
-
you have no credibility just baseless accusations.
This suggestion is for the New World Dev team, not you.
apparently it’s for everyone you have made multiple posts on the subject lol
You’d know
Hang on, what?
You physically lay eyes on someone approaching the Trader. You immediately run to the Trader to open all the sell/buy orders and see a new one where you’re standing. You cleverly deduce that player listed it. And somehow that’s a problem because you plan on what - stalking them?
The 11 accounts thing is even more unlikely - you honestly think that there’s a reasonable chance of someone buying 11 accounts that they keep online simultaneously (and who has 11 PCs lined up and running NW since AGS killed VM use with the last EAC update) just to watch people approaching a TP so they can try to figure out whether or not that person placed an order?
A) why not? B) no one’s going this. No one’s running 11 PCs and bought 11 accounts just so they can stay up 24/7 watching 11 screens of NW to see whether or not you listed something.
No, it’s not.
This is a hammer running madly around in search of a nail. or…to put it more plainly:
