[Suggestion][OPR Points] What needs to be added / is missing?

The Current Point System still does not promote all Playstyles. Tanks and Saboteurs are pretty much left out, aswell as others, hence the following needs to be added to get Points:

→ Capturing

  • Capturing a Cap Area
    // Allows Players to Backcap and actually be rewarded

→ Damage Dealt

  • Dealing Damage to Players

  • Dealing Damage to Players inside of the Cap Area (should give more Points)
    // Will give incentive to deal Damage to Players on Cap Areas

  • Dealing Damage to Buildings
    // Spawnpoints and Commando Tents should be valued, by setting an incentive to destroy those, defend them becomes more important

  • Dealing Damage to Summons

(Does dealing Damage with a SiegeWeapon count as Damage Dealt?)


→ Tanking

  • Damage taken while Blocking
    // Will give Tanks a way to aquire points and set an empathis on Defensive Action
  • Damage taken while Blocking inside of Cap Area (should give more Points)
    // Will set incentive to hold and defend Points

→ Healing

  • Life Healed

→ Buffs / Debuffs

  • Buffs applied on Friendlies
  • Debuffs applied on Enemys

→ Other

  • Killing Mobs
  • Collecting Materials
  • Building Fortifications / Siege Weapons
  • Upgrading Fortifications / Siege Weapons

→ Boss Kills

  • Everyone inside the Boss Arena should be rewarded with points upon its Death.

→ Knockdown

  • Points should be given for Knockdowns instead of the “Finishing Blow”
    // Sets more incentive in “taking Part in a Fight” instead of “Camping for Kills/Kill Stealing”

Knocking a player down should give you 250 points when they are finished. The finisher should get nothing.

Helped back-cap against a superior enemy force, barely won even though we lost both Baroness kills because I (and others) spent time avoiding the zerg and focusing on points. Finished with just 494 points, got nothing for all that fuckin’ effort.

That’s exactly my Playstyle. I like to do guerilla Warfare and Sabotage. I deal with Zergs by going around them and attacking from behind or going for their base Outpost.

But when i go to said Outposts, lay waste to all Buildings and Siege Weapons and BackCap the Point because Noone is defending it, I get abulutely no points for that?? For real??

The Backcap alone does put the Enemy under pressure and takes Players from the Main Fight, giving my Team a fighting chance. It is a massive Game Changer but gets no reward at all…

They dont want EVERYONE to get rewarded in OPR because of bots they said. What kinda lame direction is that?

“You got into the OPR but and got steamrolled in 15 minutes but get zero points because we dont want bots getting to powerful.”

EVERYONE that even steps foot into the battle should get SOME reward. This is one of the things that made me quit the game for now, waiting 4 hours to get into OPR then get zero rewards even though I killed 2 people as they zerg won us.

Bots would join tons of OPR, do nothing, be a burden for their teammates, reap the gold rewards, then sell the gold for real money.
It is a good intention to keep the bots from getting rewards.
Unfortunately, they were a bit too narrow in the sort of activities that would give points before.

The change to damage dealt to PvP players giving the most score is amazing. It’s so easy now the get the minimum 500 points, even if your team is being steamrolled.

Tanks and outpost captures/defenses should also get points. Although they need to be careful, because bots could just equip a shield and go and stand on a capture point over and over, and just block there, getting points for blocked damage.

I like everything you have said, but the kill should be a little more complex, im my opinion it should go towards whoever did the most damage for tht knockdown. Like if i did 90% damage, got stunned, and someone else knocked him down, it should count as my kill. This would prevent people from ONLY targetting low health players.
