abuse can be circumstantial. i had one guy in our guild get temp banned for referring to crafters as bag makers, given that they were the most in-demand item at the time and any crafter able to make the good bags, myself included, was making decent coin. this was during a conversation on who to bring to the war.
alternatively giving someone advice can be seen as abuse if they end up repeating it multiple times because the other player is still doing the wrong thing.
there are also false bans which are the issue here, if youâre gonna ban someone the least you can do is actually have a real reason with it, in case of banned for verbal abuse they can and should tell you the line in question. as the member who got a temp ban was told it was due to the bag maker remark.
They do not have to give you info they or someone else created, only what was COLLETED and stored about your system and inputs. Anything some one else added (ie. the report on you) they do not. They have to show your data they stored not theirs.
This explains why it feels like alot of people get mass reported and wrongly banned. Looks like AGS does not even check if the ban is justified they just check the number of reports coming in.
Itâs possible the database that aggregates all your Amazon user data doesnât receive/store/display all of your user data. So they need to confirm if this is the case and fix that surely. But if this is the case, then itâs possible they do see the correct data for player reports. We donât know until they confirm.
Nothing particularly surprising about this. MMO developers/publishers have largely abandoned the idea of individually fighting cheating/botting in favor of various detection algorithms and auto-bans. Itâs not particularly effective, but itâs a heck of a lot less expensive than active policing of servers.

So thereâs not really anything to go after them for except âyouâre a poo companyâ which⌠is like telling major news channels that they lie and obfuscate.
except being lvl 25 mining in a 45 zone is not bot behavior? it is cause for someone to report, and then have someone look into it but being 25 in a 45 zone alone is not grounds for a ban under bot like behavior.
Not only a bot but a gold seller as well. That is the only thing you can infer when looking through the reports.
5 or 6 times this guy was doing something against tos. Pretty clear reason for ban. Him whining about it does not eliminate what he did previously. Also what you said is not true. It clearly says he was waiting for the iron ore and possible bot.

Can you read? Those are my written reports. I reported other people for spamming gold selling messages and probable botting. Also, I didnât get banned but got a warning. Read the post, thanks!
You can only infer this one way gold seller+ bot behavior = against Tos and ags ban. Clear justified ban. Now he is trying to evade that.
Unban him he is going to do it again and get removed anyway.
The only thing missing is the AGS is not releasing the chat notes otherwise it would be crystal clear what he did. AGS does not have to give him what he said at all they already gave him enough to prove a rightful ban, if you look at what he said part of that its obfuscated.
Look it the other way around: The lack of context (for example no chat log an employee can look at to see the context) can make an innocent person look guilty.
Iâve stated it in my post, what my complaint is about. AGS says if I have an objection about a penalty / warning, I should contact them. How can I defend myself if they donât tell my what the warning is about? Looking at the data, it looks like it isnât even stored in the system. And thatâs bad.
Think about that situation: The police knocks on your dor and spells out a warning. Reason: They say you misbehaved. And this warning will be permanently bound to you, for your whole life. You ask them when you misbehaved and why they think you misbehaved. They say they cant answer you that because of data protection reasons. How are you supposed to defend yourself? How are you supposed to learn from your mistake if they dont tell you what exactly you did wrong (in their eyes)? See the problem?
They ban people random since release, so everyone that howevery made people report him maybe get a ban and never will know why. Or if easy anti cheat fails and bans you, you dont have any chance of unban in both cases. If you are lucky the reports âexpireâ and nothing will happen.
They gave you your proof of multiple tos breaking things? like stop. You got your legit answer and are still trying to justify what you did.
You didnât get banned from one thing like your trying to make it sound like. Bot behavior + gold selling, you can only reach one conclusion from that.
