I appreciate the honesty here as this is typically the case for most, they know they have trolled chat or were a bit too edgy and just do not know what exactly got reported that resulted in the warning or ban. At least you admit there was a reason for the reports, you just want to know which offense actually ended up costing you some game time. Others, not so honest…

lol, yes, go ahead and spend that money on a lawsuit which you will never win. The link, even with translation, shows no credible information on successful lawsuits, not even the basics such as a name or decision case number ect.

Really curious about mine now. I ended up getting banned for cheating randomly and unbanned within 20minutes of contacting chat support furious for an actual reason. In the middle of doing quests I was absolutely pissed off. Curious to see what the reasoning of the stupid auto flag system ban was…

That’s the lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, where Blizzard had to unban the player and pay moral damages as well (about $1500 in USD)

So once again, if you really feel that you were unjustly banned, look for your rights. They cannot just ban people based on “moderate suspicion” or not to disclose why they banned you.

Yes, if you live in Brazil, go ahead and spend 3-4 years on suing a company and ‘possibly’ get back a fraction of what was likely spent on attorney fees, IF you were a ranked player and can prove damages. lol

That aside…don’t ToS for most games note in there somewhere you can always be banned for “No reason, or any reason” so they’re always off the hook? :thinking:

ToS cannot override statutory rights, despite the language in them being to the contrary.

It actually took him ~7 months. And please, stop spreading misinformation. On small claims court you DO NOT NEED a lawyer.

And it’s not about the money, it’s mere $39 bucks, even less on other countries. It’s about sending a message.

depends of your country’s ‘customer protective laws’

Most laws say, in general:

  • You cannot be declined service/product without a proper reason - (Not telling you why you got banned)

  • If you are being accused of something, you must have a chance to defend yourself - Ban appeals

  • Penalties must be in accordance to what was done - They cannot permanent ban you for saying “fuck this shit”

  • Protection against abusive contracts - ToS stating that “We reserve the right to determine what constitutes unfair play and to take corrective action we deem appropriate.”

And many other things…

TL;DR you don’t understand the GDPR and what data needs to be provided to you .The GDPR regulates information regarding you as a person. No game data falls under this protection whatsoever.
There is no guarantee that the provided data by AGS is complete in any regard. They have no legal obligation to disclose any of this information to you.

This makes sense given the previous answer:

Maybe you could imagine that the penalty context contains data about the other player and so on? Therefore it makes total sense to clear that out of the data provided to you. Your conclusion is not based on any evidence whatsoever, this is just a wild interpretation of incomplete data provided to you.

In reply to your 1st edit: No, our chat messages aren’t stored anywhere. I’ve spent 10+ hours finessing their live customer support representatives. Have had a few of them slip up giving me insight on how they operate. One representative even blatantly admitted in e-mail that the chats are not stored and there is zero way to access that data as it is not being recorded & stored. Will be looking into mine after I download tonight, expecting to see similar results. Also, I have a friend that was permanently banned & believe they were victim of this poorly designed system. This is only confirming my suspicions.

So to get this right: you all distrust the customer support because it’s clueless all the time (and we know about that really well) but if the answer fits your narrative you take this information as granted? I smell Bias.
A typical customer support member has not a single clue whether chat messages are stored or not. This is a technical detail, the simple fact that they might not have access to that doesn’t mean anything.

If this is enough “proof” to confirm your narrative this just proves my point about the bias here.

I’ve really tried to be unbiased about this topic. To be honest, I didn’t know it was a “topic” until 4/11 of my friends (including myself) experienced “infractions” for virtually NO reason other than “Disruptive behavior” or “Abusive Language”. Some infractions would be warnings, some would be 24h bans, one case even a perm ban. Zero evidence of any wrong doing has been provided with NO way of appealing ANY infraction through the system provided. I would say my suspicions of a broken infraction system are less biased & more based on experience, facts, evidence, & data.

Thank you for stepping up and asking for your information. This proves what many have said or thought … AGS doesn’t have any idea what they are doing. To ban someone and have NO INFORMATION about it is ridiculous.

I encourage everyone to ask for the personal data if they have been banned or suspended.

I was temp banned when the trophy dupe got fixed. I have 100% played legit, never used anything close to an exploit. I spent about 12 hours being told I was banned for cheating and that no one would tell me why. I ended up mailing several VPs complaining. I also filed a BBB report. And honest to God they responded to the BBB report asking me to close it and that “the previous support staff provided all info and to appeal the ban” so I declined to close the report until I get an answer for why I was banned. It ended up only being a 24 hour ban, so I came back, played a few days and then was so disgusted by my treatment that I have since quit. I would bet everything I own that they have nothing on me since I never cheated. I didn’t even buy or sell trophies during the dupe and never have had any major trophies in my possession. Every trophy I have which are all basic except 1 minor mining that I farmed the survey tool and made myself.
