[Surprise!] I've requested all my personal data from Amazon to find out more about why I got a warning

Back on the forums of another game I won’t name, I was banned for a week. I was told why I was banned and even the post that caused it.

AGS says the OP was banned because of ‘abusive language’ but apparently doesn’t/didn’t log what was reported?

That is shady to me. That brings many (IIHO) to look back at the ‘mass reports = auto ban’ bs.

can you screenshot the email from support and blur any identifying information?

The game has a language filter, no one should be getting banned for bad language. As far as abusive language people can you that person on ignore.

It gets even worse when even the NPC have bad language…

I love when laws actually works against giants, not vice versa like it happens in most cases

I Think we need a clarification from AGS here.

I was thinking something similiar of that.

We give itens to others players to craft things for us (trophs, dailies, armor, etc.). This is a tippical mmo thing. NO irl money envolved, soo if the player steal our itens, how we can prove that, if they don’t keep logs of everything?

In WoW all in game transations is “garanteed” because all in game, chats, trades, etc have logs.

I can ask for some random player keep 1M gold for me while i change my character and I know that he will give my money back because if not i can open a ticket and the company will give my itens or money back and the player will be penalized for his bad behavior.

It is not the case in New World?

If it can be broken, assume AGS has broken it.

That’s the thing. Even though games have a language filter…that does not actually make such language within the rules of conduct.

So I will admit I’m not well versed in law technicalities but in the UK, there is the Freedom of Information Act 2000, which to be honest not something you’d think about every day.

If you are from the UK maybe re-send your request for all your information stating this.

there is something in sections II - 27 regarding international relations… but I’ve not thoroughly checked it out.

As it is about time AGS gave people a structured response and reasoning for their bans and warnings. As it is sad to hear x player was given 24 hours for one thing but y player (who did something similar or even the exact same) gets permabanned with no prior warnings.

I enjoy the game and I will criticise something that I personally see is wrong with it but this behind the scenes “circus act” beggars belief.

Why even bother? They will close the thread like they do all the time when they get called out on something.

They want feedback but they ignore the feedback.

They seem to have given up moderating most of the forums because it’s just too much at once and so many dedicated trolls making the job impossible.

It’s been automated from the start. If you want to get someone in the game banned. Just mass report them. This is unacceptable
