Surprises that I would love AGS to say

How nice would it be for a surprise from AGS in the next dev stream to say these were all the things they were holding back on when Brimstones releases and they will be surprise additions in the update? Thoughts?

  1. We know you all loved musical instruments and we’ve kicked it up a notch. Coming with Brimstone sands is not just the great sword but also the Guitar weapon spec. The Minstrel tree will be a full healing tree to offset the limited amount of healing options in game compared to the life staff. The Troubadour tree will be focused on damage and CC to make this weapon a very fun build to play.
  2. Gear load out options - we’ve heard you and know this is important to you. Its finally happening!
  3. We know you loved the revamped leveling experience and we are pleased to surprise you with the remaining 26-60 revamped leveling experience! We cant wait for you to see what has changed in the remaining zones.
  4. We know you all love OPSs but we feel it has been fairly limited so there are a few changes coming to OPR as you know it. We are introducing 3 new OPR maps for your enjoyment! Along with this change we are now bracketing OPR for levels 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 for standardized GS of 600. Whether you are lower or higher than this number, you will be scaled to 600 to make for a more even playing field. THATS NOT ALL!! We are also introducing cross server OPR to make the variations and queue times even quicker.
  5. With the ease of access to OPR we are also doing the same with the dungeon finder. Cross server queuing with the simple click of a button, just select your role and the system will do the rest. For Mutated dungeons you will have the option to still have specific requests for what you’re looking for and we will evaluate going forward.
  6. We are also very pleased to announce a massively revamped territory system where a company can only hold one territory on the map at any one time. To further prevent shell companies from grossly inflating the economy of a server we have also limited the rewards of territory ownership to a buff for damage and healing against NPCS in the zone by 10% and 5% against PCs rather than any monetary reward.
  7. So many of you have asked for it and it is finally here: Native controller support. Enjoy refined menu navigation, easy use of access with a gamepad and the enjoyment of playing an action combat MMO the way you want, whether that is by using keyboard and mouse or gamepad, everyone can enjoy adventuring through Aeternum how they choose.

We continue to look for your feedback on how to improve and are excited to see you in Aeternum!

A guy can wish :sob::guitar::guitar:

  1. I’ve pitched the same skill tree line up on a nature staff. I’m worried trying to make a bard like this would cause all sorts of programming issues. Like trying to use a skill and and Windsward Inn suddenly pops up.

  2. We’ve all been asking since launch, here’s hoping

  3. I haven’t played PTR, but the “revamped experience” sounds like they just changed quests around. Maybe it’ll be nice for new players but I doubt New World will ever be known for its early game quests

  4. Variety is nice but the map and lack of variation isn’t OPRs problem, its everything else. Also the grind aint bad on NW and low level PvP is almost always a nightmare in MMO’s. People create twink accounts to troll, people want balance around low level pvp, people get to level 20, PvP once then quit. Its got problems.

  5. If they could make that work i’d be both impressed and suspicious because even minor changes are riddled with bugs

  6. Yup, tax system is dumb. Its overwhelmingly evident that players will compete just to put their name on a territory. The money is an extra bonus which just happens to strain the economy.
