Switching off furnishing or dealing with furnishing items brings a number of problems that strongly influence the end game of New World.
The first thing to be said is that AGS must stop building hotfixes that negatively affect other areas of the game.
At first you might think that this would be a good hotfix, but the consequences are as follows:
-
End Game items e.g. for Major Trophies are dropping for like 50-100% in price because nobody can use them. There is not much end-game content and the joy of a rare item is not particularly great with the knowledge that it cannot be sold.
-
Players who already have items like major trophies have a great advantage because other players cannot trade these items.
-
Players who specialize in furnishing make less money.
-
The motivation to farm after these items decreases.
Expressing these circumstances in numbers is of course not possible, but if you have common sense, you can say that this has a very large impact on the economy.
The big question is, why doesn’t Amazon just restrict the players who, according to the database, have a large number of furnishing items? That would at least reduce the impact on the economy and thus the player base (numbers) enormously?
It feels like such decisions are ultimately made by developers and not by employees who have far-reaching prudence.
I myself have been collecting exactly these items for 1 week and slowly it’s starting to no longer be fun, that my game success depends on when Amazon is so gracious and corrects this simple hotfix …
