Shouldn’t there be a system to avoid entering Q again if we get a dc or game crash or even just a UI reload. i mean i was patiently waited 3 hours in queue just to get a game crash 10 minutes later… shoulds there be something to prevented it???
I’m going to let you know; no program in the world can tell ‘crash’ from ‘disconnect’.
To the servers, all they see, all they CAN see is ‘Connection closed’. It’s not possible with coding as it is right now, to differentiate ‘disconnect’ from ‘PC crash’ or ‘modem disconnect’ or ‘power outage’. They’re all the same result to the server; no more connection.
no i mean like to reserve your spot for example for 2 mins to relog
Okay, but it would have to happen every time you log out, since the game has no way of knowing if you manually quit or if you had a game crash.
Which means everyone is holding up the queue by 2 minutes, leading to longer wait times for those in said queue.
i know but again there should be something. i waited 3 hours and q and now i must wait again for a crash? Even with the game bugs and all the staff that is wrong i mean we don’t even relog to fix ui bugs and we have to play with broken ui etc…
Yes but imagine you’re logging in for the first time today, and all 2000 people in the full server now also have 2 minute ‘grace periods’ where they log out and no one takes up their spot.
So that’s 2 minutes, per person, that the queue does not move when someone disconnects. Because the game, again, has no way to know if you logged out for the night or had a crash.
you are in 2 mins… it can be 1 min or 30 seconds… there should be shomething to prevent no matter if you crashed etc. 3 hours wasted just like that… also yes the game has no way to know the reason i logged out BUT IT KNOWS WHEN I DO
…Because the connection closes. Your caps make it look like this is some surprising idea.
When you log out of ANY online game, the server stops getting info from your client. That’s how it knows you logged out. Be it manually, or via a crash.
