The real problem is you want a wishlist. Not drops.
Aptitude chests did get better. Proof is in your post. You got a drop that is worth a lot in the market. Why not sell the good drop so you can purchase a recipe you don’t have?
But that is not what you want. Your expectations do not meet what the reality is. If you want guaranteed drops. Go find a p2w game.
