Hatchet is a bit strong atm, but i bet half the people that are crying is ranged/magic users, Since Ranged/Magic does 4k+ easily, I picked up a random ice gauntlet while having full str and did 1.8k ligth attacks,
Hatchet full str and i only hit like 1500 Crits ish (800-900normal)
The Hatchet should get a buff “Whenever the “Bug” is fixed” if it even is a bug/Exploit

I enjoy the PvE and gathering, but im a bit dissapointed in the "Old Hatchet/Before “Bug” Was hard doing PvE cause of so low dmg and you just look around and see lifestaffs Ice gauntlet fire staff musket bow doing 4-7Times the dmg…
Hope you actually read this and keep in mind the damage of any other wepone, and they are 3-7 times better than hatchet, Even Sword and shield that should be a “Tank set” does more than “Normal(“Before Bug”)” hatchet
keep in mind that what is accounted for is DPS which stands for damage per second, hatchet has a much faster attack speed compared to any othe weapon type.
Also for ranged weapons, i can only speak for the bow. Yea bow hit like a truck but the hitbox is incredibly tiny and you end up missing a lot of your shots in PVE, in PVP it gets even worse coz bow mechanics are clunky and you have to compensate a lot when aiming, so you barely ever hit someone with it. So yea, i can crit for like 6k with my bow but i miss 8/10 arrows so how great is it?
Yeah, you’re not wrong - I knew it was absolutely unintended and brokenly OP in many instances. I also knew a weapons swap would reset it. I still periodically let it stack and obliterated a few pirates for grins.
I’m glad it fixed. I had my chuckles with something I knew was broken, wouldn’t go near PvP with it, and now it’s - thankfully - fixed.
TBH a little bit of aim assist for Bow/Magic wouldn’t be bad. Not talking auto-aim. More like If you were on target when you fired you will hit within reason. PvE is fine I can hit 90% of the time. But in PvP the Randomness of movements especially at range requires you to have a crystal ball to predict peoples movements. Especially with how terribly slow the travel time of projectiles are.
yea PVE is mostly fine, monster movement is predictable. But in PVP its terrible. Agree with you arrows should travel much faster than how it is now and also it should leave the bow instantly when you take the shot, it blows my mind it taking almost 1/2 second to leave the bow after i release it.
Indeed. If it was an FPS with normal Projectile speeds it would be fine. But unless you’re lucky and predict which way they are going to Zig-zag every time. Pretty much every shot on a moving target is Spray and pray. I think that’s why so many mages have gone full heavy to stand right next to the Mele’s.
The gun is in a good spot when it comes to aiming. But with how much reduction the PvP armour and gems are giving I call them tickle sticks they just don’t do any damage at all and the slow fire rate ensures that.
I’d love to play ranged in PvP But with the low damage from the gun and Terrible accuracy of the bow, I just can’t. Magic might be more interesting with the ability fixes in the patch though.
Really? Then poor Rapier must be in serious trouble. It seems to do about hit the damage per hit that Hatchet does (not including the bug), I was wondering if it was Hatchet being too strong or Rapier too weak. Sounds like it is Rapier being excessively weak
