I asked for 250 con and maybe 300 con to not be totally useless for mitigation purposes.
If you seriously have a problem with that or disagree that they are extremely low value perks, i dont really know what else to say. Nobody takes them. There is a reason. That reason is they are bad.
No, go make your separate nerf post about assassins if you think they are too strong. This is a post about buffing tanks.
If you have a problem with sns being too versatile (this is a joke btw. Find me the sns user who effectively switches between tank and assassin in war and link me his vods) you can make your own thread too.

Stopped reading at “cant buff tanks without buffing assassins” because that was just totally untrue. If thats what youre worried about, it is easily solved by buffing 250 con and 300 con to be useful for mitigation.
The problem I see with rend is not what the tank can then do but what the surrounding players can then take advantage of when the rend is applied. I like the idea though that there could be a mechanic activated when block is broken.
m8, do you dunerstand that buffing the survivability of the 300 con woudl still leave tanks worthless in pvp?
sure you woudl survive longer…but daamge would be bad and so would utility, so im failing to see whats the point of it?
you want betetr survivability, sure…btu that aloen wont make tanks viable, and sicne you cant get mroe survivability while getting mroe damage/utility then its a fairly easy assumption that even if they buffed 300 con tnaks would still be pretty pointless, so why do epople WANT that im not understanding it.
How about you just swap your stats and play S&S+Hatchet, S&S Great Sword, S&S+… anything to dominate. Adding additional work to something that does not need it is why combat in this game is in a appalling state.
If your play style is “Run into PvP like a dungeon and tank”, then the only thing that can save you is a new PvP mode that gives you a similar objective. I am sure the new activation pots will help you focus on movement more

Int 250 is strong. You would know this if you played it.
Focus 250 exists and has marginal value. It needs a buff too.
Con 250 is one hit every 60 seconds at max health. Just useless.
For example, armor breaker is a 20% rend for 10 seconds. The duration is just wild and is a death sentence to anyone in heavy. Percent based means the heavy person will be disproportionately affected by armor drop offs.
It is easy stack up to 30-50% rend when considering all perks and weapons
This is why your rend cap reduction idea is actually great.
The heavier/tankier you are supposed to be, the less likely it is that you are able to run away to avoid the extra damage. Duration reduction doesnt work because that stuff gets spammed and again, you cant really run.
Easy fix - you cant run (still) but its not as bad.
so, lets talk about SnS first, most of it worthness comes from, actually, offensive tree, plenty of damage, crit and movespeed buffs, but the defensive side is so lackluster compared to the new released GS, which has better identity as a Defender class than SnS. So GS proves that there is room for improvement.
Defenders resolve is actually bad, listen to me, in paper it is good, but when you pop that shit either people will run away from you cause, you know, light dodge, remove your buff or staggers you (cause berserker can grit on 16s cd but not that skill). second reason it is bad, long animation and long CD makes it a bad counter skill, and the 15% heal perk every 45sec is just lame, GS has a 25% heal every 10 sec and it is a PASSIVE perk and also so much mitigation just for activating defensive stance.
Shield Rush is just a bad version with bad hit box of leaping strike, the only good thing about that is the mitigation from equipment perk, why dont remove it and make something different from a tunned down leaping strike?
Shield bash is fine, can work as a counter , it is quick and allows oppening for combos when being attacked.
Passives that decrease stamina damage on shield should be removed and make something like GS that decreases stamina damage on first seconds of block, kinda cool mechanic of perfect block :3 and you dont need to waste 2 points for only 15% decrease.
i actually belive that this is part of the problem, like in league of legends, letality is fixed so it is good agains squishies but cannot be abused against Tanks.
for those who told that tanks should not be able to tank 1v3 ( also they said “tank” not win), dodge negates 3 attacks easily, and there are sooo many plays where a light armor easily outplays 3+ people. so why tanks would not tank? like I said, should not be hold a button and tank, but perfect blocks with viable heavy dodges, would make possible to tank 3 people as long as you have skill to do so.
i play tank since day 1 , why tank is the worst in pvp??
1 useless in war/3vs3/ u cant even be on top of the score board in opr ,other think somehow half of weapon tank (shield) its crazy to get as legendary , plus our great devs remove stagger from sns ony stun so its easy to doge ,… there is more points why tanks suck SO HARD
I appreciate your posts bc you’ve made many great points however with the dodge you have to consider the distance that helps light armors get away and run. Gaining distance really helps reset fights and gives you a chance to help reset cds. I agree that well timed dodges can negate damage as a tank but you aren’t really going anywhere.
