Tanking pve soon to be a mythical creature

So its been almost a year now and tanking has become the most expensive and least played role in the history of mmorpg and received little to no buffs.

So as a tank there is only 1 thing keeping you alive and that’s the healer, leeching and leeching path of destiny is pretty much useless as you do little to no dmg at all ( not enough to sustain your hp in anyway), and there is only 2 weapons available to use - the only 2 that has taunts that is.

For staying alive as a tank you should have some ability to regen hp ( no the 0.5% max hp regen perk does not help) since there are nothing of real use I suggest you should either regen hp based on a % damage received or % based on damage done to (who ever your group is attacking) in like a 1 or 2m radius of you and this ability should only be active if you have sword and shield as your active weapon and your con is 300+ , that should prevent a unfair strength advantage.

As for the weapons all melee weapons should have a taunt. That would enable you to have a more diverse playstyle as a tank and still be able to maintain aggro .

90% of the time when the healer dies the tank is next one to die coz dodging is pretty much useless and you can only consume so much potions in a set amount of time and blocking while get you only so far.

As a tank main myself I believe we should not really get any healing options but more tools to be used.

For example more taunts both minor and major. Ways to be fortified greatly but reduce our movement greatly. Have mini stuns and/or defensive buffs that can be applied for PvE. Stamina needs to be changed for us when it comes to shields. They need to rework how shields and stamina work when it comes to blocking.

We simply need more utility and I would be happy!

I think the tank in PVE is ok (could be better, but it’s ok), but in PVP we are basically expendable.

Trenchant Recovery will get buffed to 41%, you can roll Lifestealing on the same weapon and have a ring with leeching … Thats more than 50% lifeleech on a CHA.

Leeching Path of Destiny will get buffed to 47% if its on WH.

If you’re skilling WH into Crowd Crusher Abilities leeching 35% of their damage dealt, you can shockwave-cha-clearout-cha to regain nearly full health every 12sec.

My dungeon group tank uses rapier instead of S&S. He does amazingly well. Doesnt get hit much so its easier on the healer and I think he holds aggro better than the traditional sword and board tank.
