Hi. I just want to talk about how tanks dont get enough score in opr with the changes to the assist mechanic in opr. played 5 games of opr as a tank and my score ranged from 300-500. I really wished there was a way to track tank performance in opr something like time on point, damaged blocked or even damaged received. I’ve only gotten 2 opr boxes out of my 5 games with the new patch and that was cuz i had to cut wood for contribution.
Yes tracking damage blocked for OPR score should absolutely be a thing 
It is just another idiotic change on a long list.
Just PvE in OPR until they fix it. Or switch classes. It was already getting really annoying to tank/hold-point because of all the range and lack of healing.
What do you mean? Tanks are on top of the leaderboard every OPR game.
Just use your life staff better. It rewards a lot of points.
Or do you mean you just stand there holding right click with a shield?
that’s the thing revan. not everyone uses a lifestaff as a tank. Nothing wrong with having a lifestaff but it heavily punishes the nature of the game to allow multiple builds to work.
Id rather be in the bottom of the list than using life staff as a tank.
This is discussed since we can play OPR. Do you guys see any changes? Just drop the tank class and play something different. You don’t need tanks in wars. You don’t want tanks in invasions. You are no good contributor in OPR.
Thought this will be a PvP game, but the only need for tanks is Lazarus and Genesis. I am deeply disappointed about the shift into a PvE game. Not only that: Without PvE you are not able to get the gear you need for PvP…

Tanks are the guys that are most endurant. Is someone more endurant than the healer? Ofcourse the healer is the tank.
Weird opinions. OPR and wars are objective based. I don’t need DDs. I just need to stand on the point.
This is among the dumbest things I have ever seen on an MMO forum. Just no.
I’d love to focus on the real issue at hand which is really just metrics for rewards. It just doesnt feel nice to play tank in a lot of pvp content because you’ll always be bottom of the table with minimal or no rewards at all.
I know that OPR and wars are objective based. But that’s not how it is working. You would take the DDs and melt the enemy tanks.
Can’t relate. I always place in the solid middle of the ladder.
Do you respec for OPR? Got a gear set for PvP?
Chances are you’re strongly underperforming if you’re running the same setup for PvE and PvP.
+1 gone from having 60+ assists and ten to 25 kills. To 2 kills 0 assist. No point playing OPR or pvp as a sword shield tank anymore.

A tank is hard to destroy = A healer is hard to destroy.
A sword&shield player is easier to destroy than a healer.
Why would you call sword&shield player a tank in pvp?
In PvE sword&shield player is a tank. Because there are tankbusters.
In PvP there is only sustained damage, ofcourse healers have huge advantage.

Yeah, played 6 rounds yesterday. Performing as usual. GA nerf is slightly noticeable - but essentially is same old - try to kill anything that is in light armor, ignore anything that is in heavy armor.
I see. I mostly play doors and block projectiles for healers and cc groups. maybe it’s just enough but it still is punishing as hell if there are very few melees in the opposite side.
Well. From what I have seen nothing of what you do is metered.
1.) You need much heal.
2.) You need good K/D ratio.
3.) Now added. You need good assist.
Like it is now, you need to be very cautious not to die. It is weird, but sometimes it is better just to drop the point and not to die. That’s how it is metered.
