Hi guys, just wondering how many teams have tried the Tempest heart expedition without all Legendary Gear?
Can you survive without trophies, coatings as well as no Gems socketed?
What is the recommended strategy for beginning level 60s?
It can be done by a good group that knows what they are doing. New people? They will probably struggle especially pugs with no communication.
Basically any group that all know the mechanics and can successfully navigate them
Tank that can keep aggro(surprisingly weird that a lot of tanks can’t do this)
Healer that has good positioning
DPS that don’t die everytime they get touched.
Above all else. People that know how to avoid red circles on the ground, and flock to green ones.
What Pointe said. People that play well and know the fight mechanics.
@Pointe, lets assume I am a new level 60, could you try and give a more detailed understanding of the expedition, like what are the weaknesses of the bosses?
There are many YouTube videos that explain that. Easier to just watch one of those honestly.
Sapphires in dps’ weapons help a lot. Spears, bows/muskets/blunderbuss are great.
@Soluss, yes I have watched some Youtube videos, so I have some knowledge of the bosses, but I would like to know for yourself, have you tried fighting the bosses and what difficulties did you have yourself? Did you get team wiped?
Its all pretty easy until the last two bosses. In the beginning we had some wipes sure. If I go with people that are not very experienced or not very good at dodging then our group as a whole can still struggle.
The last two bosses are really not that difficult once you get the dance down but it still takes practice. YouTube videos can show you what to expect but you still have to learn it so to speak by doing.
I would say my difficulties came from the second last boss with having to move quickly if targeted by a one shot skill from the boss but because the way bow works I get a delay before I can move. I had to adjust and anticipate something coming so that I wasnt put in that situation.
On the last boss I still dont always avoid the swoop action she does. Usually its because I put myself in a poor position and didnt have room to really dodge it. If you get hit the first time you usually cannot get away from the second swoop which will kill you. So now I try to make sure I dont end up in the narrow parts of the room when thats going to happen.
Other than that, its all a matter of if everyone else in your group can do well too. The second last boss specifically because of the bomb. If you dont have enough DPS that reacts quickly to it then you probably wont get through the fight.
