I like the overall idea in video New World: Forged in Aeternum - Territory Game - YouTube
While having a time window to attack/defent I want to share the following idea.
You can make fort as hotspot during certain time window and for the attacking faction after capping the fort people who stand on fort point do generate influence.
The generated influence gets pushed to the company influence for each individual player standing on point.
After 100% reached which company made most influence can declare a war.
I donβt think there is a need to have different points across the map(around forts) to cap. Instead players can have big scale open world pvp by attacking/defending the fort.
We will also get rid of pvp quests.
