ppl aren’t upgrading stuff because of wanting to keep gold. or if they do upgrade it’s defense only mostly. raising taxes won’t fix this.
because you are still trusting people who are just motivated by the lure of getting personal wealth to do what is right by the rest of the community. I think it has been shown time and time again that ppl cash grab rather than do right.
solution.
- Take gold out of hte equation.
- keep taxes ( and don’t raise it to 5% )
3 take all gold gain out of territories.
4 take gold out of hte declaration.
5 take gold out of hte claim.
6 make it so upgrades cost nothing.
7 automatically upgrade structures as structures are completed. (let the territory owners choose the upgrades but if no one chooses have the ai choose)
add some other incentive to be property owner. some perk or boon. just taking all gold out of it should be a very good gold sink and make it better for the general public playing this game. we are at the companies mercy for having usable territories and that’s not a good thing for player retention. the gold from taxes should all just disappear instead of being able to be pocketed.
raising taxes will just make the average man poorer and the company owners richer as most just pocket the gold they get and let things go to shett.
also having taken the xp from townboards there is far less reason for anyone to do them. you get more territory gain from other means and once that’s done there is really no point to doing the missions even though they must be done. they are more expensive than the items are worth
it would be nice if exp had aptitude like other things that rewarded you ever apt level and the townboards somehow related to that with something like apt experience.
