Territory control/war/invasion systems overhaul speculations and suggestions

This idea started with me thinking “I’m really hoping to see the war system turned into an on demand 50v50 PvP mode like opr but has a set number of wars per day.” Edit: it turns out AGS NW game director Scot Lane has already mentioned this feature was in the works and planned for a future release.

And “how nice it would be if the open world fort control system was turned into a queueable PvP game mode where players can teleport to a fort and fight over control of a certain fort and keep it under control for say 48 hours once they fought and won what’s considered win conditions” Edit: I suspect this is also already planned and in the works since it was mentioned recently that 3v3 arena announcer is coming to the open world soon.

Territory control conditions could then be tied to a leaders board score at the faction level that is tied to the above two game modes. Once these two modes are on cooldown (max number of games per week reached), Pvpers can cap their weekly 3v3 arena matches then do opr as much as they want.

Throwing a territory into contested status can still continue to be a thing that would instead trigger a multi-wave NPC invasion against the actual towns themselves that other factions control. Edit: I think this too is already planned and in the works / was already tested on live by game masters spawning waves of boss and trash mob NPC enemies in towns.

The current invasion system could be turned into an on demand WoW like LFR raid mode for large scale instanced PVE challenges with different maps and bosses. (I suspect this too is already being worked on)

My suggestion is about removing the whole let’s schedule it at an exact set time issue and total company control major issue.

Please let players play how and when they like. You can limit the number of times we do a certain activity per week, that’s fine, but some more flexible systems would be nice.

Wars and territory control shouldn’t be based on a single fight outcome in a single day. A war should last longer and be fought on multiple fronts for it to feel like a real war.

This is a terrible idea, thats just throwing the work out of taking territorys. Also there alot of us that would love a war mode for fun thats like opr, but if your not willing to do the work why should you get the zone.

We dont need anymore repeat content thats all this woud be just like muts, same shoe difffrent laces garbage.

Also people would put all the spriggans on one door with bombers at same time, dont think they would’nt. Want a example, of people will do bad things that hurt server health. Look at shell companys.

But I repeat we would love a war mode like opr!

On an unrelated note, bow is not OP. Please ignore the trolls trying to make you kill the game and make it even worse with their garbage “feedback”. Keep up the great work and please more changes on other weapons to bring them all closer to how fun the bow feels now.

More like im calling things iike mutators that were released as new content garbage, and yes they are just that.Also im saying the same thing we said to the devs before we lost 1.6 million people and now sit at 12k at peak. Players will abuse a sytem that allows them to gain advantage over others and I gave you a example of a massive rampant problem in new world. I also told you why it would fail and hurt new world, however you choose to beleive a entire player base wouldnt do these things, that they have already done.

played every beta and the recycle content at this point is what every player thats been around from start knows is killing it and you come out with lets recycle some more and give me zones from people who worked for it without doing the work. I just wanna be able to declare wars with no work.

Your idea is garbage since every player thats ever had to run pvp missions to get a town would instantly quit, when people could just declare war daily with no work. Also there would never be another invasion since nobody would run to start one and if they did it would be out of spite, and very unlikly.

So would be recycle and basicly removing content from the game to make it even more boring.

P.s If you had ever ran the 100 to 1000 pvp missions it takes to start a war and put the 15k out to start one. You wouldnt think anything you said was a great idea.

Current war should be changed into a ranked cross server (within region) GvG mode for the sweatys.

Then they need to remove territory control from the company level and put it the faction level while at the same time devising mechanisms where territory flips occur dynamically in the open world so that anyone can participate.

P.s tons of feedback and lots was good before the game went down hill and still play dont need you trying to tell me im salty because you want free towns without the work and dont no how to check a player count.

so you think 22k is high and i gave you new worlds counter not a average no lies needed as i said moron. If you dont think so it says all time peak 913,613 and current btw average 22,738 if you think they did good job there something wrong with you.

New World Server Status - Player Count and Population - New World Database well what the count for us east and us west do you think thats healthy? if you do then you cant see the issue…

I said your idea was bad and we didnt need more recyled content. I also told you that people worked for those towns and did do between 100 and 1000 missions and payed 15k to start a war. You wanted this free without work on a que. With rights to take there towns.

the devs did there own thing and didnt listen to alot of the feed back which led to this but ok and me saying we dont need more recycled content makes sense thats what led to this state of the game and never once did i call the devs bad names I only returned in kind which you threw out.

Also games a year since release 2 weapons and 1 dungion released

Modified OP “per day” mentions to “per week” since people don’t want to feel obliged to grind daily. Besides, wars and territory control shouldn’t be based on a single fight outcome in a single day. A war should last longer and be fought on multiple fronts for it to feel like a real war.
