I agree, the game changed so much that some of the territory standing cards are now redundant and I wish I could just pay something and just respec. It shouldn’t be solely just gold, bc casuals wants to do that too and they do not have the oportunity to get that many gold and sink it in another stuff. But combining gold, azoth, lvls, items or resources would be great.
+++99999 UPVOTE!! Ranted about this once here in the forums and you just created a fantastic and detailed idea that they don’t have a reason not to implement
This should be a high priority QoL update for sure. People made a LOT of mistakes early on that would be nice to correct, now that we actually know how the perks work.
I’ve also always thought it strange that we can’t see our numbers in-game, except when we’re spending a perk point. We can see all of our buffs in a given territory, but we can’t see what our perks do for us there? Makes absolutely no sense at all.
I agree… and it is not just mistakes people want to “correct”. Most of the game changed since it was launched. Crafting is easier, territory standing is easier with songs now… gathering is faster with songs, so most of the cards are just useless…
I also agree with the statement that we should be able to see all the numbers we put the cards in… Makes 0 sense for us not to know, since the game obviously does know bc it shows it to you when you select the card.
Questions for the Community
- Why do you want / not want a respec option for territory standing cards ?
- What has been your experience with the cards ?
- What would be a fair cost requirement ?
- What would be a fair cooldown ?
- How could this affect the economy, gameplay, and leveling experience ?
- Do you keep track of your percentages ? If so, how ? Spreadsheet ? Text document ? Do you just decide that a territory / town will be solely dedicated to trading and crafting, another area for faction reputation, and so on ?
- Should there be more variety in card types / bonuses ? What types ?
- Should certain cards be removed ? Which ones ?
Looking forward to more / new responses ! ![]()

- Respec is long overdue. As OP stated there are many game economy changes and players now know what is actually useful and beneficial.
- Starting cards were quite random, havent missed storage cards but for sure at current state i.e I could not relocate my house to any other city than main ones as I’m missing housing/tax/furniture cards at most areas. So my character is “stuck” in a meaning to main city’s. Some cards have been turned useless in time as housing tax, territory and faction standing and even gathering speed is near 0 real effect.
- 100 gold per card/territory level (at max 300 level 30k per territory) for gold sink. Also In-game store could sell full territory reset for those who don’t want to use in-game gold for it. I would leave azoth out of this.
- There should be no cooldown as its not affecting whole economy but single player. If player wants to reset every day, go for it, it would be a nice gold sink for overall economy. Territory cards do not have benefits that would profit daily reset and 100 gold per card, you still cant reset single card but need to pay for the whole i.e 150 cards reset at that specific territory. Benefits from territory standings will not magically change the whole economy in an perspective of an single player. Most players will reset territory standings perhaps once every 6 months when larger changes hit the game. I see no reason to set artificial cooldown on it. There is no reasonable argument how cards could be abused at current state of cards.
- Economy itself would not be affected by these changes in an large picture. Perhaps only when new territory’s like BSS was introduced, more people would move one of their houses into this hub making new territory’s more attractive to own at launch.
- Its hard to keep track, most still view cards only when they come up and make decision on 3 cards being displayed.
- Cards should be reworked 100%. Housing should not be behind card wall + amount of furniture should not be locked. Faction/territory/xp/gathering speed are all basically dead cards. Should be reworked or even replaced. Housing/crafting tax cards need to be rebalance for new economy we are currently at. Storage system itself needs an rework but atm its only card worth picking up.
New cards should give useful bonuses for that area that benefit all players for 1-60 i.e Luck boost, gathering yield, faction store discount (after faction system/store rework itself). Another wild card could be + resources from local “supply cart” that is located at each town - Why not have them give better yield and materials once you are at higher town rep. - Player xp, gathering speed, faction and territory xp cards should reworked or even removed. Housing and furniture cards should be removed. Whole card content should be reworked so it benefits all characters from 1-60 and also cards need to be worth taking, once we have 3 cards on the table, one being storage and we even consider other cards is where balance for the cards should be.
100 % AGREE Should make this a High Priority!
I would also suggest to be able to use Umbral Shards as a Cost to respec
bump…

Would a respec for territory standing cards fit in nicely with Seasons and the Free + Premium tracks ? Hmm…
Bump again thx
Bump to keep the thread alive. +1 to the idea.
Agree.
Well after you made them realize they can get money from QOL features just like gear set slots, you know this will be release in a couple seasons.
You can reset a level for free, once. Then pay 5k marks 10 levels and on and on.
At this point they butchered new world into a cash grab and we know it. Its not about they making money to keep it alive.
They are just milking players for whatever they can get before all servers pop drop bellow 300.
Its just so sad. I loved the game. gave it thousands of hours just to see the same result of any good game that was purchased by gamigo.
Wish they pulled a FFXIV reborn stuff to maybe make it work properly, but we know chances are slim.
Anyway lets hope Im wrong.
monthly bump to keep this alive ! ![]()
bump !
Great post. I’d love a respec option for territory standing, and also the ability to see the percentages for each bonus in each town.
