Territory Standing Reset

I agree with this, imagine once you get to end game and you have used your territory standing for xp… In my opinion they should allow the reset per zone and make it 500-800 azoth so that way its accessible to everyone but those who really have regrets can farm it.

I like your idea, just not your math. You pulled an extra zero out of nowhere bro.

oops! Thanks!

Would it be too much to ask for the knowledge of if there even is the chance to miss out on cards? I can only assume there are two ways the cards work.

1: They are either truly random and each person will have a different “max stat bonus” that they can get just based off luck. Having a cost to re-roll your standing cards would make sense with this style as people with crap luck may feel shunted.

OR

2: There is a cap to each card type. Say if you caped out 500 extra weight in storage the card would never show up again because in the 300 levels of territory standing there are only so many or a max of each type of bonus card. So just like leveling professions, you would eventually just be fully maxed out with every single bonus for a zone. For example, I’d imagine most people that never took bonus EXP would just get no other cards to choose on leveling up standing at the end of the standing cap limit.

Absolutely agree

It never occured to me to pick anything but the expanded storage. I hardly consider any of this “ruining” a character. With so many towns to grind rep for, skipping added storage in one is hardly a reason to grab the pitchforks and torches to demand a reset option, imo.

I would also love for a territory perks reset. Much like talent trees work. At the cost of azoth, gold, or both! -Bump this thread as long as we can!! :ok_man:

While speaking of ruined characters may sound harsh, the potential of a character is definetly limited by the descitions/mistakes made in this system.
And as was stated several times it is easy to make these mistakes as the system does not properly explain itself and it needs preparation and research beforehand to not fall into this trap. If you look at guides about how to get the best out of your territory standing points it shows that it is not user friendly at all, it even is described as a trap. There are even some convoluted tricks for optimisation (as not to level up after 8 till 10 is reached to not have the house block a storage pick).
Now you may say that one mistake does not ruin a character but in an mmo which is meant to be played over many years a pemrnanent limitation to a characters potential does irritate a lot of people.
Also the game world and our place in it, the meta, the content, the meaning of areas, etc are bound to change and I dont see why we should not be able to adapt to these changes over the years. (Even if it is a slow and costly adaptation process)
There may not be a need for pitchforks and a revolt but just aswell there is no need to stick to such a confusing and strict system.

I personally would not only advocate for a reset option but for a complete overhaul of how these points are spent that makes it easier to understand without research.
Show all options at all times (some may be locked behind levels) and let us invest points freely.
Additionally i would make the choices about the percentage based options only, since they offer diminishing returns and can not be pitched against consistent improvement in the long run. Instead storage space and housing options can be unlocked automatically as the standing level increases. In that way resetting a territory would not lead to an issue with current items in the storage aswell.
…Again, no pitchforks. This is about feedback and suggestions. The system does not feel good and could be improved.

We need this badly, this is game breaking. You can ruin your character if you don’t do it correctly.

It can have gold/azoth cost, days limitation or some other mechanic, not real money. By your logic no one should get respec in anything, not attributes nor weapons, and anyone needs to create a new character any time they want to change even 1 stat point, or pay real money. There are other games that fill that niche, not this one

Did not play beta, jumped straight in to the game, just wanted to play. Now level 50 and already regreat my standing points decision. Need to reset with some kind of penalty like outhor say 120 days cooldown or something.

in case anyone is wondering, the choices are set, meaning if you missed Storage, its missed permanently.
That’s horrible design, especially in MMO

Absolutely I want a Territory Standing Reset.
Especially as Trading Posts are useless for selling many things <.<
The one complication is how they handled unlocking Housing.
It unlocks when you have 10 Standing but replaces whichever Standing you haven’t spent yet, which is possibly #9 or even #8 if you forgot to spend them.
It’s sort of a wildcard.
If they just give it to us without us having to use one Territory Standing point that would make things easier.

Yeah I don’t like having to look up a cheat sheet/spoiler for such information. It’s really scummy design.

Allowing reset would be completely unfair to those people who didn’t chose XP bonus and leveled without it, because they wanted storage and other stuff. You should have thought about your decisions in the long run.

I messed up missing several storage options, so i would love to pay for resetting at least some territories. I probably wouldn’t if it would have been obvious to me, that the storage options are limited offers, so even if there won’t be a respec option please consider adding a hint to the UI for the newer players.

So you took experience, leveled up, ask for standing reset… yeah right, that sounds fair…

Not exactly a great argument to keep a botched system intact. …maybe an exp. boost has no place in a game that is meant to be played for an extensive time to begin with.
