They’re closing post about the exploit in hopes of keeping it away from the weekend warriors.

and removing replies KEKW

I mean they have it under their announcements, not sure if that makes much sense to me.

They are usually really lenient keeping posts up though, which I respect. Honestly though they normally are too lenient when it comes to posts intended to troll and mislead. I see wayyy too many of those.

I think there is good discussion to be had though, so feel free to post it here if you want. I know some people are concerned about the “or” statement there. Ideally would like to see permanent bans for anything that is pretty blatant. The crafting one, not sure if there is anyone that could prove innocence if you can afford 3 major trophies and you added more on top of that haha.

That phrase could be for the other exploit. Which could be more likely that it included some people that shouldn’t have been banned. That seems reasonable to me?

If you thinking they are trying to hide what happened then there really isn’t much logic in that given there are some changes still in place, they have a massive announcement, and they know people know about it.

The weekend warriors are on, at least in europe. Cat’s out of the bag, no more sweeping under the carpet.

Yes but how many days were the “few hundred” accounts that abused going on for. Thousands of 600 GS was made for sure then moved around and or sold. Casuals and new players don’t care. The rest of us are poorer than the ones who exploited once again. If AGS doesn’t start to perma ban these exploiters its just gonna happen again and again. the big update comming up is gonna break a lot and more exploits again WE ALL KNOW that,

That would be my guess, too. I’d translate a few hundreds to ~300 who each craft like 30 (?) items. 30 items is like you what craft in a planned for session unless got greedy.

30 x 300 = 9000. Lots of stuff!

Looks like that permanently banned as of right now. The temporary part is likely related to the other exploit which may have been more likely to accidently do. Which the community can appreciate. We all want them to come down as hard as possible until you are on the end of an accidental ban. They are being cautious here but that is just careful language. By the look of the intensity of their response. Permanent bans are to ensue.

ONCE in AGS history, they rolled EU back 2 hours. When the duping was at its peak.

Yes but they have to track who traded what to who. they disabled player to player trade yesterday. They could have had an alt account and traded all the gear there etc. Perma banning the account who did the exploit is step one perma banning the account they traded the gear too is step TWO. If they only do step 1 then the exploiters win again. How many days was this exploit being abused is the REAL ?

I’m not a fan of lumping the crafters squeezing out some 600s in with the dupers… The trophy bug was way too accessible and way too convenient to be punishable… If you drop candy in front of a 5 year old, you don’t blame them for eating it… But if they broke into an apartment and ordered themselves 500 candies on your amazon account, then somethings up…

Also the trophy bug is very similar to the Tempest guaranteed 600GS crafting bug that was out for a similar timeframe - but you at least had to have decent trophies, gear and best tier mats for this one

If everyone cares about there being too much gold then just create a cosmetic gold dump vendor that sells massively overpriced stuff - WoW does this with mounts and stuff

Good that they banned the exploiters but as always they have banned players not part of it too. A friend got perma banned for doing company payday well before anyone knew of the exploits.
It will be interesting to see the numbers on servers now. I wonder how many got done

yea i have seen it at both ends, know some that need to be banned but haven’t and some that weren’t even crafting at all that got a ban for cheating. it seems there may be a problem with how they identify these people.

Yes I think it happens every time. The system pings what they think is suspicious. In this case handing out x amount of gold to several members for their payday seemed shady to them. I hope they resolve those quickly.

But I do know quite a few who got banned for exploiting as well so the response was super quick on that which is impressive.

also items that were created still seem to be on TP so they didn’t really do much to the actual affect on the server.

Well if they are banned the gold goes nowhere HAHA. I guess it either rewards players who didn’t cheat to get a nice item or they need to remove the items. I think the bans were more important, we will recover

This game needs a wall of shame…please

Oooo interesting! Some servers are hovering around their population cap! Did AGS plan this to get rid of the scum and make room for others!? Bravo if so

No need for a wall of shame, in the end I am sure many players are feeling intense shame getting caught right now. I’m sure that’s enough. Also there could always be a few that will get unbanned as well. We don’t really know much about the non-crafting dupe/exploit which might be more likely to get some false positive bans. The crafting one, not sure if anyone can accidentally do that one haha.

They’re never going to give you an answer to that question.
