I hope this is not too early. I logged onto a EU server from New Zealand and the connection was actually playable for generic questing.
No lag issues noticed.
Thank you.

Thanks for making our launch day a hell.
Can’t you just grab the name and logoff?
I know people can’t wait to play, but come on. You are going to delete that character in 6 or so hours. Can you just go to sleep so you are fully charged for your official release and us EU players can enjoy the game?
I played for an hour, so chill. Yes I have logged off. From what I saw everyone was enjoying the game.
Amazon routing is simply amazing!!!
I’m playing all the way from South Africa (no servers here), EU and NA-East regions are extremely playable thanks to AWS routing.
Sorry, I am just annoyed I am still quieting a2 hours after launch.
I am sure most of the non EU players are still playing.
Be happy the game is actually releasing today !
Unfortunately, long queues are always anticipated on launch days. I hope you can get in soon. I logged into to grab my names, then logged straight out (even though I am in the UK).
Fair enough, I can understand your frustrations. I have experienced it in other games.
I was there for WoW launch and most other MMOs there after.
Yet this could have gone much better if they launched globally at the same time, and didn’t have this stupid global naming policy.
This is basically self inflicted. That’s why I am mad.
Plus, lots of Asians and Africans playing on EU because they don’t have their own servers and it’s the first region to launch. Most will settle here anyway, Africans and Middle Eastern in particular as the ping should not be so bad, even from New Zealand is playable.
I totally agree with you on this… They should have anticipated this from the beginning but still… What can we do tho… like seriously what can we do
Clearly nothing. But we should let them know we are not happy, even though I am sure they already know that.
They should know this is their first strike, they still have 2 to go.
Never give them the impression they can just do whatever with us customer not saying anything.
Agreed, we paid for this game, and to be honest, pay to play and some microtransactions in-game maybe? sheesh not liking it one bit tho
The services they delivered should have been corrected since they had a closed and open beta.
The handling of the launch with the staged release is definitely of amateur level. And to that, they added the global names… which make it even worse.
It should have been OBVIOUS that all the American streamers and their followers were going to play on EU servers “just to be first” while they were waiting for their regional servers to come up, and makes our game time hell.
Don’t blame the Americans playing though - blame Amazon.
An IP lock or a queue priority for IPs from Europe would have solved it, and AWS definitely have the server power to do that.
Agree, blocking IPs or giving them a priority
would of reduced the issues for the EU, however, if people wanted to save their names they would just used a VPN.
They should simply not have blocked just to reserve names, but only for the queue that comes AFTER the name creation.
