It seems like I got about a 60% reduction in my property taxes. Thank you, that will be super helpful.
I don’t mind at all that the governing company ramped the property taxes across the entire map to 20%. If they’re getting full taxes still, they are making 400% of what they previously were raking in.
They obviously deserve that money!
Turning off the sarcasm, this game just feels abusive at this point.
You have all these systems in place that allow some players to exert control over other players, and I don’t understand what the design goal is; the biggest thing it allows for is abusive, exploitative behavior.
Problems that fall into this category
- Companies kicking people out of invasions
- Companies (previously) taking advantage of exploits to conquer whole servers
- Dead companies on low pop servers that don’t upgrade or maintain settlements
- Excessive territory and luck bonuses that reward the dominant factions more (because underdog faction players get repeatedly ganked or their faction doesn’t own any territory).
…and now, in response to the gesture of goodwill from the devs
- Companies taking a share of the property tax reduction
Again, this isn’t fun; this feels to me like developer-sanctioned abuse.
