I feel like the shop is not getting enough praise!
I was 100% expecting any sort of pay to “conveniance” stuff in there. XP postions, added storage or extra cool gathering tools, however there is nothing like that. I think this is awesome and I hope it stays like this for some time.
All I’m asking for now is: Give us more cosmetic options to puirchase. I’m happy to sink a few bucks into the store, but so far nothing really sticks out.

Agreed. Although I’d like there to be more options for cosmetics that perhaps aren’t all “Ultra Cartoon Warrior GO!” and maybe a little more subtle. I mean, sure… I get it some people like to look like 15k others on day one and all have the same garish gold suit of armour and massive pearlescent hammer. But some less overstated options would be nice later on down the line
Really do love their model though. Always good to see a dev stay strict to the cosmetics only route. And it makes me want to support them (if they can just give me some options that I’d actually like to wear).
Exactly my thoughts. I want to support them (and make me look awesome) and I’m happy to do that. Hope for some subtile yet beautiful additions to the store. So far I’m using the Twitch Pirate stuff as it looks better than anything in the shop (for my taste)
Why do so many game companies have trouble designing decent looking helmets? If you really look at the armor skins it’s the helmets that make them look really strange.
Amazon has already stated there will be no Pay to Win items located in the Micro Transactions tab. This is not the direction they will be taking and it will all be cosmetic. Let us work on providing a list of things we would like to see added! (I for one, one the Vampire Outfit, like Yesterday!!!) hahaha.
Don’t get me wrong, a couple of the skins look decent. But at this stage, the list of “decent” ones (as opposed to the pretty obvious “wow, look at me” ones) is so short, I’d still be just buying into a collective in doing so. Honestly, there’s a particular light armour chest texture I have on my current chest item (it’s just a green item) that I absolutely love. I dread the time when I have to give it up for some obviously better item that looks crap. If I could just buy that texture and use it permanently, I would pay for it (and I think this actually should be an option in the shop).
I bought gear skin set and I bought the pirate housing package. I too enjoy collecting these types of things digitally. Can’t wait for future content in the shop.
The shop is decent, but I can’t justify buying anything yet. Wanting to love the game, but with the current ongoing issues I can’t bring myself to spend anything else. Amazon needs to earn that. No point in buying skins and house decorations when most of my time is spent in the other room cooking dinner or watching a movie waiting on queue. Especially after crashes in excavations or running portals.
Heh yeh. Seems so weird to me. Dude, you’re literally in the same crappy common gear I’m wearing. It just looks a bit silly on day one. But they sell units and I acknowledge that. Just not to me.
I’d have loved it if they had started out a little more understated with a number of awesome looking, but ultimately normal, options. Anyway, it’s a moot point. It’ll come with time. And I think most of us agree that it’s a good thing the shop is just this and not a progress ticker.
Agreed. I like the no pay to win stuff in the shop but the items are meh… its almost Halloween… where is the “festive” outfits? lol. Someone mentioned vampire outfits…
Can’t agree more with the sentiment that cosmetic-only is the way to go. When there are more options and I won’t look like the 1000 other people that swiped I would absolutely buy some cosmetics or furniture, etc. Hoping they don’t even flirt with the pay to win line and keep it this way.
Also happy to pay for future DLC rather than have a monthly sub. If it’s money they want, great. It is a business after all. Please continue to figure out ways to make it without hurting the gameplay itself.
Mind you to be carefull about how the Shop turns out in the future. I agree the way it is now is “the good way” but Amazon explicity stated before that no “P2w” or boost elements and such will be added to the shopt “at launch”. At launch… so dont praise them already.
However when thinking about the future of the game and how they can add more stuff to do, probably besides new weapons and bigger map they might need to add new recipes, new mats to farm, stronger items etc etc, more xp to grind above 200 for skills. At some point new players will see oh my god i need to grind 300 or 400 in every skill and i guess this will be the point where carefull boosts in some way might make sense.
