Delays have never upset me. I have some of the largest complaining threads on these forums, but I support this post. I do not HATE these devs, nor think they don’t care. I am as active as I am on these forums because I love the game.
Thanks for all the work you guys do on this wonderful game!
A completely good decision to delay the update if there were major issues discovered last second that had to be fixed!
Keep up the good work! ![]()
We aren’t saps we just aren’t heartless a-holes like many in the forums. We complain when things aren’t right and we say thank you when the devs do something right. You know, things human being do. Give it a try.
What sort of warped reality do you guys live in?
AGS is on a fail streak and you’re satisfied with a sorry? No compensation, no chance they will ever do better and also making people pay for their absolute garbage gear system requiring an unlimited set of suits.
No idea how anyone could take a positive view of the empty words in the latest vid.
They are supposed to give us compensation because the update was late and leaderboards were delayed? It’s a video game so no. What kind of warped world do you live in that you think a one time purchase gets you unlimited content and makes you the CEO of the company?
Mate, when I say compensation I am talking about PIXELS that cost AGS literally nothing.
I work for a bank and the ATMs weren’t available for a few hours - literally gave customers cash as an apology.
I live in the real world where businesses are accountable to customers.
Don’t call me mate bro. You can’t even explain what you want. “Pixels”. What is it you want exactly and are you a programmer who is going to add that for free because I’m pretty sure adding anything to a program “literally” requires paying a person to add it.
That bank you worked at “literally” had to pay someone to enter those apology gifts and it “literally” cost them the actual money plus the cost of paying people to process all that. So “literally” you defeated your own argument.
I also want to thank Scott (and team). Continue your work, ignoring the hysterical kids. Thank you.
The biggest problem with the forums.
… is this a bank in the United States? I am having trouble imagining this actually happening.
Im on a vacation with my family at a very large “real world” business in Florida that has had many rides that are temporarily not work, and this business is not even giving a discount or anything else beyond “im sorry, check back again later”
changes for nothing?
Less than a week late and he needed to give a several minute apology? LOL this shti is so lost.
For me, it was exactly what I needed to hear. Big props to Scott Lane, did not see this coming but really REALLY appreciate it. Absolute big ball move, If the next update delivers we good ![]()
Hate to be that guy, but where’s this video? ![]()
These forums can be a maze.
Scote Lane, thanks so much for this. Full sincerity and love for the game through your words. Thx for this, mean the world to us.
I’m not going to congratulate someone for doing the bare minimum expected of their bloody job, particularly when their performance thus far has been staggeringly poor.
Venerate people who’ve earned it.
This is also very true. I may think he’s incompetent, but everyone getting worked into a tizz because a sprint wasn’t sized exactly right is silly… that’s just part of development
Indeed qe should give credit when credit is due.
Taking those first few minutes to address to the delay issue and explain why, its a great, kudos for that.
On the otherhand we would appreciate if those minutes where published when you first decided on the delay.
Anyway hope you guys at ags keep it up.
I agree with the feeling that a lot of people are way to entitled especially when it comes to gaming, even if u buy the best components on the market and spend hundreds/thousands on gaming monthly it will be cheaper then entertaiment in the Real World.
That being said, in the UK… it happened twice to go to a themepark where 2 rides broke down on the day [were meant to work and they broken down during that day], and both times we were offered full refunds for our VIP ticket, which ofc i had no intetion of taking because me, my partner and our friends had a lot of fun regardless of the 2 rides not working, but the offer was there.
In general in most bussinesses when you promise something and you fail to deliver you usually offer some compensation, ofc sometimes this is taken to the extreme and people expect the world for their minor inconvenience. For example in the case of this update, it was not a big deal that the update itself was delayed… but it was upsetting for those that were farming leaderboards, so giving those players an extra skin or a title or something insegnificant would have been apropriate.
I love how the developers are portraied in the Community Videos and they seem like amazing and relatable people, but taking the feelings out of the ecuation… the fact they do not adress the relevant concerns brough up by the community and their actions in some instances leave much to be desired, is there and its understandably upsetting to some people.
