There was not a single mmo launched where you COULD NOT log in for 7+ hours… so do not bullshit.

Just as a clarification here; Warlords of Draenor was so bottle necked that you couldn’t effectively play the game for 2 weeks or so. Either you got constant DC or the game was so laggy that it took ages from key press to actually something happening.

And that was when Blizzard had years of experience in MMO launches.

If you are not able to handle queues in an MMO I recommend either:

1. Don’t sign in during launch, major patch or xpac release
2. find a new hobby

So you apparently aren’t aware that Amazon is the largest cloud provider, which means they are #1 at handling traffic. Which means this shouldn’t be an issue.

Easily the best mmo launch. I’ve had major issues with queues but I’m not a child and can subjectively recognise that the game, when I have played (two characters to about level 15 so far) has been nigh on flawless.

The 2nd character, I created on a new server and saw no queue higher than 5 (usually zero). The game itself is a huge success. They just need to keep working to resolve queues.

This launch has been pretty good when compared to other MMOs. Very little server downtime, no game breaking bugs, great community and a lot of fun to play.

The only negative thing people can say about the game are the queue times, a lot of this is their own fault for following around streamers. Every MMO EVER released or that will be released has had and will have queues as launch. If that game is successful like WoW and FFXIV it will also have queues during major patches and XPACs.

LMAO you haven’t played many mmos I take it then especially with your false title. This is actually a horrible launch. See, if ALL the other mmos limited their servers to such an insanely low number causing people to wait 3-7+ hours for a queue then I bet their launches would be like this too. Also, your whole post is false.

ex: Shadowlands which broke a sales record had 0 hiccups when launched and didn’t have insane queue sizes. The only servers that might have had queues were the insanely populated ones like Illiadan But their queue times are nothing like this. Even FFXIV has queue times which last maybe 30 secs.

3 days now and ZERO fixes to the queue time. Glad you are wearing your rose tinted glasses and think this is the best launch in mmo history which you obviously never did any research on.

edit: Oh yeah forgot to add, how to explain a lot of us waiting 2-3 hrs only to have the game crash or give errors and then have to start the queue again? And yep those of us that didn’t click play in hopes the queue starts back up where we left off but nope all to the game closing on its own. Yeahhhh great launch.

Shadowlands AKA WoW has instances with phasing, not a fully open world. Come on man if you are going to come in here foaming at the mouth because you can’t log into a VIDEO GAME at least try to compare apples to apples.

I wouldn’t say it is necessarily the best mmo launch in history but it is definitely a good one, and I agree that a lot of the problems in some of these servers is definitely people wanting to stalk their favorite streamers you join a high pop server and that is on you. I am definitely impressed with how playable the game is considering I have played other games on launch and after the long queue time I end up with lags and things broken everywhere, where new world I wait in queue for a while get in and I can play everything works no lag etc… I have had a few bugs involving crafting making me temporarily unable to craft but other than that its been great.

What a troll. The fact that you titled your post “The best launch in MMO history” reveals one of two things: either

1. You are very inexperienced at MMO launches and don’t know what you’re talking about; or
2. You’re being deliberately provocative in order to start a flamefest.

Either way, you’re wasting bandwidth. I’ve read the entire thread and nothing you’ve said contributes to your point, it’s just all contentious pushback.
