I played WOW from beta… the good old days…
One thing I would point out:
Population of US - 350 million (ish?)
Population of Europe - 750-800 million (ish?)
Servers:
US West+East: 207
Europe: 150
AP and SA have even less… I wonder what the queues are like there?
It does not matter from when you played.
It matters if you played on patchday, I did it like 2 times. Everyone who played WoW from classic on knows this and wont play on patchday. At least in Europe. My whole guild in Classic/BC/WotlK/Cata would start to play 2-3 days after release. Cause it was cancer, back then. So yeah, even if you played since beta, you cant deny that you dont had Q times and Dcs when a new Addon launched.
I mean just look on the rebrand Classic EU Q Times not even in Prime Time was like 5H min. And I was on an not so populatated server. I quit after 3 days cause I could not login. This is by far not good in NewWorld, but you cant deny that WoW had less trouble.

Yeah I wasn’t claiming either way being honest, I just had some nostalgic WoW feels.
There will probably always be queues/bugs/issues whenever any MMO launches/patches etc… (god knows how I just the Elite Odyssey launch) and I’ll happily play on a US server until such time that I can reliably play on EU.
I’m chilled with it and happy to wait.
I suppose my question is should we have to put up with delivery of this level/quality these days? Not a complaint, just food for thought.

Yes.
If companies are forced to add 1000s of servers for a week rush that cost will come back to us. Servers even if you are Amazon are not free. After a few months those extra servers will be shut down and all those characters will need to be moved, again cost money, money in the end that will be passed down to us.
Sorry I don’t want to pay more money for games because a few people throw a temper tantrum when there is a queue at launch, big patch or xpac.
People already payed money to play the game. Not everyone can queue up at 04:00 AM like you do. Some people have jobs they have to attend or kids they have to take care of.
Now why would someone wake up at 4am to get some playing in? Oh maybe because they have a job and kids that start around 6am…

No sure not, but Amzn is just stepping in into the world of MMO.
Their other game was a Epic Fail.
I just hope they will fix this asap, I dont really min a server change, if possible, but my Workaround for now is, Teamviewer connect to my PC start the Q 3 hours prior to leaving work, and hoping that I will be in when Im at home. (and not be kicked tho).
I dont really want to defend this, but on the other hand I want to, cause when you are in there are no lags, no stuttering nothing (for now) and I hope they will make it work, so we all have fun together.

E Bug = Cant use anything or make any quests.
Stamina Bug = Cant dodge
Overload Bug = Cant move normal
Same Bugs in Close Beta.

Not Even 50% of the Player can Join a Server. Its not only a Queue its 2000 People and Full…
Maybe start looking in the Forum for Bugs before talking

This right here is why I am against the raise the cap argument. One this is for sure the one having a fit about queues will be the first one back when they are fighting over 3 sheep with 50 people or there is a little lag in the city.
I am guessing NONE of these have ever happened to you, you just reguritate whatever you read on the forums.
They sure have not happened to me. I did run into an issue where i couldn’t craft a work bench, i went out and cut down a tree came back and it was fine.
