Sure, the sword and shield was one of the first weapons in the game. However, it’s time to think about some changes. The skill tree - Master of the Sword - is very weak when compared to the other weapons, especially when compared to the newer weapons.
The jump attack is the skill that allows a defender to get closer to an opponent. But it can’t even be compared to the efficiency of the blunderbuss claw shot ability. This tank skill tree needs to be redesigned. Adding some close-range, ambush, or anything else skills would be a good idea.
The claw and wind-creating abilities are two skills that make the tank’s skills look weak in comparison. If you compare the claw jump attack and explosive shield charge shot, it’s easy to see how poor these skills are.
If you look at the game, whether it’s PvP or PvE, the lack of players using swords and shields is disproportionate due to the deficiency of the sword and shield when compared to the other weapons.
An ability to pull the opponent closer would also be ideal.
It may be, but it’s still a joke when compared to the other skills. It would be much better to have a skill that pulls the target towards you or sticks to them, going in the direction they are, than the jump attack.
The dps tree of sns is supposed to be offensive not deffensive. but I get what you are saying. That being said though. leaping strike has so much utility. If you leap off an edge or a high place you can travel extremely far with. It staggers and slows and hits insanely hard. It is one of the best chaser abilities in the game by far.
Yes, but the jump on a flat ground is not as efficient as in a high place. Unlike the claw, which doesn’t matter if it’s on a flat ground, down or up. Apart from this shield charge, an useless ability in both PvP and PvE can’t even be compared to the advantage of the blunderbuss explosive shot.
