I’m calling you all out, the complaints are completely dumb and it shows a complete lack of understanding anything
First of all a 30% luck boost to gathering isn’t giving you a 30% chance at getting a void ore like you’re all making it sound like it is.
If there is a 1 in 100 drop rate for a rare mat you now have a 1.3 in 100 drop rate.
PvP has added risks and now comes with added fairly well balanced rewards
There is nothing stopping you from throwing all your points in con, throwing on some heavy armour and a shield and just running away every time someone tries to kill you with a hatchet speed boost.
I’ve been farming all day, I haven’t been killed I’ve just run away from groups of up to 5 players if I don’t want to get murdered in medium armour.
You’ll find that many people flagged won’t chase you very far if you just run and not fight back. Because you’re no longer worth the effort or the time.
Use a greataxe and an ice gauntlet and you’ll be very annoying to chase for very long.
This is my understanding. I’m flagged more because I’m 10% less likely to spend 5-800g on repair bills. Furthermore, what would likely be a better stance on this would be to give gold, azoth, or some more tokens or something for those that want to pvp. Its a weird design to entice active pvp with gathering luck bonuses. Theres only one crowd that would be giddy about that. Think you see where im getting at.
You have no idea how mining luck works (or any other gathering luck).
I made calculations in other posts and if you only have luck on tool the increase is 4 times more ore per 1000 attempts. In full mining gear the difference drops to something like 2 times more. It’s not 30% more. Its way, waaaaaaay more.
